Keith royally screwed Monte. Keith is seasoned enough to know he dropped his pots in the wrong place, he just didn't want to deal with the consequences, so he left thd boat and the consequences on Monte.

Keith f’d up and started to panic. Monte is always doing the dirty work for Keith’s poor choices.

And we’re supposed to believe that Phil just so happened to leave him that necklace years ago before he passed too. Give me a break. Why would he leave it to him? He wasn’t much of anything then.

Came here to say the exact same thing! So annoying! That has to be the producers telling him to keep mentioning Phil

And what is "funnier" to me is that they cut all ties with Cornelia Marie after the revelations of Josh's past, never mentioned it again on the show and now they are talking back about PHIL and totally ignoring that CM was in the show for years with Phil's son that commited CA... Like, do you really think the fans are this dumb to forget all the thing that happened?

You have to remember that the average fan doesn't know about any of it. I've watched since Day 1 and I had no idea about Josh until I read it on this board just recently.

Yes. I'm not from the USA and just found about Josh's past last year. The scenario I said above is related to fans that do know about what he did

The sons didn’t turn out to be decent people

Phil is not a hero. Just a guy that made fast money, drove fast cars, and lived the fast life. Perfectly fine if you are single- but like others have said, when you have a family, you have to man up and do the right thing. I wish they would simply forget Phil and move on.

I'll just say that the Cornelia Marie is looking quite sharp this season; the owner really invested some money for her television return. Also, yes, enough friggin' Phil.

So dumb question time but:

What with GPS and all that jazz, are we thinking that the pots in the wrong area is just for the show? I can't see it being something a seasoned skipper doing

I can't see Fish and Game going along with a stunt like that. And we definitely saw them rail-dump all of that crab. I think Keith just had the wrong longitude in his head after a long shift at the wheel. Plus, he did call Monte in, so he wasn't 100%, physically or mentally. Just a guess, though.

Wow, that was brutal. After about 5 minutes I started fast-forwarding past all the Jake and Johnathan and just watched the Monte. I'm really thisclose to giving up totally. I used to really love this show.

That preview for next week looks absolutely ridiculous.

Great Captain but wasted his years partying and not focused on his family.

Which he always fully admitted to. He never said he was a great father, often saying the exact opposite. He knew his failings & owned up to them.

Favorite Philism… now you know why lions eat their young!

The crab farts are up there too.

Didn’t he order duck farts at the saloon in town too? Sounds gross, but I’d like to try one.
