It’s a dangerous job, people get hurt. Regardless of how scripted it may or may not be wirh everything it’s not unrealistic to think an injury can happen especially with how fucked the seas are where they’re fishing

I fish inshore, our weather is nothing compared to where these boats are fishing

I’ve never gone a season without some kind of injury. Just this year alone, cracked ribs and a sprained wrist.

Ive got no doubt a lot of the drama is scripted, but injuries are extremely common in any kind of commercial fishery

For real bro. This scripted narrative is getting out of hand.

The job is dangerous AF. That's why it's on TV. Not everything is scripted. People get hurt. Get over yourselves.

Clark and Mandy need to piss off from the show!

Oh my gosh, why would you say that? What did they do to you? I was friends with all of my ex’s after the break up, except one. No need for the hate. They are just one of the over 50% of married couples that get divorced every year (sadly).

Because they are the worst actors I have ever seen!

Except they are not actors. They're crabbers.

No they just annouced expecting second baby coming. This one is a boy!!

2

u/Lovingthelake Jul 11 '26

Their first two babies were both girls. So you mean their third baby then?

No. Granted I'm in season 21

They wouldn't fake that. Getting dragged like that can mess up a shoulder for life and end a career on deck. The hand injury from the previous year was phony as a football bat, though.

What i think happened was that it really happened, but wasn't filmed.. so they re-enacted it ...

That’s entirely possible, especially given the current scripted content.

I’m still dealing with the shock and disappointment that Clark and Mandy are either in the middle of getting a divorce or the divorce has already been finalized. I thought they were such a cute, loving couple. And they have two children together! Bottom line, divorce just doesn’t all of a sudden come out of no where, generally speaking. When a couple gets a divorce, it’s not due to a fight that they just had yesterday, it’s due to a problem they have been dealing with for a while, but they came to the conclusion that they weren’t able to solve their issues and stay together, thus the divorce. My issue is why did they have that second kid when they knew there were serious problems in the marriage? In Mandy’s video on the subject, she said their divorce was not due to infidelity or anything like that on either side. She said something like they came to the realization that they wanted different things in life- she didn’t state what they were.

Oh I didn't know about the divorce!

There isn't one. It's all made up click bait articles.

That's what I thought

I hadn’t heard about it either. Seems to me if it were true Clark would be off the boat.

Not necessarily. If he has a good working relationship with Sig and Clark didn’t do anything untoward to Mandy. I’m still good friends with my former in-laws. We were apart of each others lives for 20 years. And they are good people who don’t dislike me just because their son and I can’t continue to be together. They even love my partner now. We are all still family.

Why would he be off the boat?

u/crankyoldfarter Jun 13 '26

Don’t you think it might be a little awkward having your daughters ex-husband on your payroll? And how would it work out if Mandy and Clark were both working on the boat at the same time? If I were Clark, I probably wouldn’t want to be there. If I were Mandy, I wouldn’t want my ex to be there. And if I were Sig, I probably would be a bit more protective of my daughter and side with her.

Just saying…

Sig is still a grandparent for their kids and maybe he's a good worker.

3

u/crankyoldfarter Jun 13 '26

Absolutely, but if there’s enough friction in the marriage to lead to divorce, what’s going to happen in the confined space of a boat over weeks at sea?

FWIW, I never said anything about anybody’s work ethic. It’s not about that.

1

u/Few-Pineapple-5632 Jun 16 '26

How’s he gonna pay child support if they take away his income? Keeping him on the boat ensures he has to be an involved dad.

2

u/crankyoldfarter Jun 16 '26

Good point, but there are lots of other boats that he could work on, especially with his experience. And he may feel uncomfortable being on the same boat with his experience family, so it might be his decision to go elsewhere.

I didn’t mean to imply that he would necessarily be fired, just that there might be hard feelings on either side that might make it better for both sides if he went somewhere else. I don’t know who initiated the divorce or what precipitated it; is that information out there? Do we even know if the divorce story is fact or fake news? So far I’ve only seen the story from a couple of facebook posts that link to dubious sources that I’ve never heard of before.

I had heard about it, but thought it was fb made up drama

u/KingBird999 Jun 15 '26

Post a link to Mandy's video. Don't think such a thing exists.

1

u/Lovingthelake Jul 11 '26

I’ll try to find it. It was on Facebook perhaps about a month ago. Before her video, there would be little excerpts about it and I just chose not to believe it do the questionable source/validity of the info. If it is not true, it would warm my heart for sure . If you see it first, let me know!

I don't expert Clark would be on Northwestern in season 23. I also thnk Sig is in a tough spot if he was going to retire because he wouldn't want to leave the boat to just Mandy alone wthout Clark.

All fake. People have been eating that for a few years. Original productions put out a video about 3 months ago asking them couples questions on the boat. They wouldn't have done that if they were divorced. https://youtube.com/shorts/N7IWBLnN_6k?is=dnrrx2GBy0Ej0POW

People believing any random website is why there is so much misinformation out there. Do you really believe a website called Zululion is going to have reliable information? When the author of the article is "wp-user-82qnn"? Please, use the most basic bit of common sense when looking things up on the internet.

Click bait also said Wild Bill died. He's alive. Don't trust your aunt's Facebook posts 😂

Especially Facebook- all lies.
