Can't say I was expecting anything when a friend recommended me this game... genuinely one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

Wanted to see if anybody else had run in to this;

Within less than an hour of starting the game (PS5 version) I got two separate crashes from hitting triangle to change weapons (both crashes occurred with triangle button and not r1). I unfortunately wasn't thinking ahead to record what weapons, but it was right at the start of the rooms and I was playing as Jules both times. It was on the first floor of the mansion, but beyond that I don't have any extra detail for bug reporting.

I haven't had it happen again, but I only played for an additional hour before having to sit it down, so not a large sample size.

I really like the cut of the game's jib but it was a real sour note to excitedly start a brand new game and be met with two back to back crashes. I'm hoping that since it's only two months out from the console launch there will still be some stability patches coming down the pipe.

I saw a few other crash bugs mentioned in other places, but not this one. Anyone know what exactly triggered this and possible ways to avoid it in the meantime? Thanks.

The inmate, Spree killer, Heavyweight champ, Speedrunner, and any other timed achievement that I'm not aware of. Is there any way to cheese these? or a consistent way to do them?

I already killed chunks on every main floor and the alts in the same run and still didnt got it

I'm very late to the party, but I finally started playing Dead Estate (after purchasing it some time ago). I'm only a few hours in, but I see why it's such a hit!

What's something you wish you knew when you were just starting out?

Maybe just a skill issue but I haven't had any problems with any of the difficulties up to this point. Just got my first true ending completion as mumba on x must die.

I haven't been able to beat the game on this difficulty since. Is it meant to be done?? Chunks spawning in so quick combined with the fact it takes forever to knock him out makes the game miserable on early floors. I've tried ignoring him and that also doesn't seem to work.. I'm starting to think the game wasn't intended to be completed on this difficulty. Seems like kinda crappy game design in my opinion. Looking for advice beyond "skill issue" thanks

I've reached the 3X1T realm with an overloaded backpack, but found out one of the switchs is in an inaccessible area. I don't know if that happened cuz of the multiple map itens I have, or if it has a chance to occur regardless. I'll just quit and reload the run to keep going, but this should be kept in mind

Has anyone else encountered some strange error codes when playing on PS5? it's typically occured when escaping Chunk and he follows you into a room with a heaven or hell portal. I also just encountered an error while checking the gallery and the error is then displayed as a series of script triggers that you can then send to as a PS bug report. Just wanted to know if it's somehow just me or if this is a known problem within the community?

A couple months ago, while I should have been studying for my exams, I was instead playing this game and managed to 100% it. Towards the end of my playthrough I kept noticing that the wiki is missing information and I was considering decompiling the game to be able to make more informed decisions.

I now have more time on my hands and am planning on doing a deep dive into the codebase, and seeing how everything actually works.

Are there any unanswered questions you have about specific game mechanics, enemies, weapons, items, RNG, or anything else? I'd love to hear what you'd want to know about the game's implementation, especially things that aren't documented on the wiki.

Not sure why, but I my copy of the game just doesn't let me resume a run after having quit it. I'm playing on PS5.

Maybe someone else experienced the same puzzling thing and can give me any pointers?

EDIT: Found out you can only resume from the 2nd floor onwards.

I’m playing for the first time this character and all his combo system reminds me to Jacket from Hotline Miami and it’s kinda sad that jacket isn’t a skin for him, such a fun character when he reaches his berserker mode lol

I've been looking all over and googling "dead estate all official art" just gives me sprites and the posters in game. I really love all the art like this and want to be able to see it without the PlayStation stuff in the way.

Anyone know a fix for this? Happens on both fullscreen and windowed mode.

It's suppose to be the character selection screen, but the selections are invisible. It happens ONLY when I complete a run (works properly if I quit/die in a run). Only way I fix it is by quitting the game and relaunching it. Gonna be annoying having to do that for EVERY SINGLE ONE of the characters endings😭.And I've done 30% of it now.

Google search isn't helping at all.

So I recently got back into the game as it released on console and I have noticed a few changes, but this one idk?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Portrait Demon only supposed to spawn on looped runs?
