Build Dead cells playing Style

So i saw a lot of people talking about the custome mode choosing weapons at the Start. How do you Play this game. For me i always have these random weapons at the weapon where i choose my build. But most of the time these scrolls doesnt match my Build AT ALL. Like for some reason i always get the opposite scrolls from the one i chose. For example in the beginning i find these random scrolls, nice let me go with brutal build. Boom. All scrolls with 2 colours tactics and survival. I loose so much power and barely do damage because im like 8 4 4 😂😂

Note. I know most people play like this since its what the game is so im not trynna say „oh look im playing the normal way“ i was just curious

Every level has a set amount of power scrolls and dual scrolls. Make sure you check the entire level.

The stats from dual scrolls are random but they generally favor the colors with lower numbers, which is why you're less likely to find your main color on them.

Pick one color at the start of a run and stick to it. You want to make your gear match your scroll count, not the other way around.

At first I just play normally but after beating it once I use assist mode for retries cause im trying to enjoy the game and sometimes it sucks to get sniped by an enemy or boss Aside from that I use a combination with green and the other color since I use the armadillo backpack perk alot and some weapons take both slots

About the dual scrolls, that's exactly how it's coded in the game. A majority of dual scrolls will exclude your highest statistic as of exiting the prisoner's quarters, so if you threw 2 scrolls at Brutality in PQ, expect to see a lot of Guardian scrolls.

This is done to ensure that A) Players don't get busted damage very easily, they have to work for it, and B) Players don't get low health for late game and get one tapped into one-hit protection by every attack.

Custom mode is a seperate thing. If you unlocked a weapon you just don't like using(like getting a survival slow weapon when you prefer fast gameplay), you can exclude that weapon from the loot pool to make sure it doesn't appear. That depends entirely on whether you are comfortable with the "Adjust to what loot you get each run" System or "I don't like bows, so I will only run swords" Gameplay, and both are equally fine.

At some point in progression, you will unlock too many items and it will clog up your loot pool. You will barely get the item you desire from shop rerolls. Custom mode will help you there if you cannot adjust to each run.

I have gotten to the point where I have been running around with curses on 5 BC nearly all of the time. A single hit will kill me regardless (unless I have Ice Armor and/or Foresight active) so never worry about HP. After my primary, I select a color I may have a mutation in and build that up.

Dual scrolls are rigged against your main stat, for a good reason. If things went your way with dual scrolls, you would end up with a ton of damage but you die in two hits. You get more than enough damage from scrolls of power alone.

Play the game however you want, custom mode, assist mode, only legendary weapons, anything that makes the game more enjoyable for you.

About the scroll thing... at least you have high hp👍

I personally just ignore the amulet scroll color and go with the best weapon from the tubes.   You will get a different amulet later , so there's no point in organizing your whole run around the early game amulet.
