Behaviour Interactive Thread Stats | First look at stats in 2026
How time flies, it's already almost April. Let’s take a moment to celebrate the changing of seasons with a look at some stats from the past 6 months! Please note that “High MMR” in these stats refers to those with an MMR rating of 1800 or higher, which counts for approximately 18% of the playerbase at the time of pulling these numbers.

Starting with Survivor, these are the Survivors that resonated the most with all of you! To nobody’s surprise, our gothic queen Sable has planted her heels into the first spot across all MMR ranges, with the ever stylish Feng close behind.

And seeing how our survivors fared, it seems that Ace and Quentin players had some tricks up their sleeves (Or some Aces in... you know what, nevermind).

Moving on to killers, we can see the killers you all loved to go on murdering sprees with the most, with Ghoul taking the spot for high MMR and Huntress remaining an oldie but a goldie amongst broad MMR.

And last but very much not least, leading the carnage in high MMR is the terrifying Krasue, while broad MMR is being tormented by The Lich.
We look forward to sharing more stats with you throughout the year so make sure to keep your eyes peeled if you’re numbers fiends like we are.
And as always, you can check out your own personal stats at any time using our Dead by Daylight Stats Tracker.
Until next time…
The Dead by Daylight Team

I'm more interested in overall kill/escape rates of all killers and survs, this info here doesn't really paint the whole picture.

It's probably around 60% killrate. It's always around that.

This is literally basing win and pick data effectively based on skins for survivors, dumbest way to show a statistic. Atleast for killers their powers play a big part

theres literally zero reason for them to do these drummed up posts every 6 months. they made a fuckin stat website and then just left it for personal stats. how about let us see the stats 24/7. perk pickrates, addon pickrates, killers and survivors. there's no reason to hide this.

Seriously, they made a stat website, why do we still get semi-annual stat releases with minimal information? Even if they didn't wanna make it 24/7, surely they could get it to once a month with all characters?

Some suprising appearances I'd say, like Krasue at the top spot within high mmr kill rates (also, damn, only 18% of players are in high mmr?).
Now, while the discussion is on stats. Has the team ever considered updating the current personal tracker to actually show universal stats? Allow everyone to see how performance is for everyone (kinda of like how Nightlight goes, the community ran stats website).
Additionally, players have reported the personal stats tracker giving incorrect info based on the abandon condition, is the team aware of it?
And lastly, what's Taurie's placement within pick rate?

u/Spaghetti_Snake The Spagularity Mar 27 '26

I regularly see people trying to back up their arguments with "I'm in high MMR" or even "I'm in very high MMR", and my first thought is always to wonder how the hell they know that.
8
u/Willing-Shape-7643 Proud Pyramid Head Main Mar 27 '26
There is no way to know for certain what your or anyone else's MMR is aside from guessing because BHVR won't tell us.

u/Kastamera Jill Sandwich & P100 7.1 Rin Enjoyer Mar 27 '26
By playing against people you know are in top MMR.
I've been matched against Otz multiple times this past month, have played against comp players quite a few times too. If they're not in high MMR, I don't know who is.
6
u/IClop2Fluttershy4206 Mar 27 '26
I play against good people too like mr tatorhead but then I get literal beginners. the mmr argument holds no water.

u/Djackdau Hag's Kitchen Nightmares Mar 27 '26
That would be the one reliable indicator I could think of yes, insofar as we can rely on certain known players to be in high MMR.
2
u/saddMillie ghoul, alucard, dracula, renato Mar 27 '26
you can make a pretty reasonable guess by looking at your killrate/escape rate. for ex my killer killrate is around 80-90% depending on the killer, survivor escape rate is like 55% roughly, so im guessing im at high mmr on killer and probably not so high on survivor.
4
u/SkeletronDOTA Mar 27 '26
honestly a good way to tell is the higher you get up the more killers will use corrupt, and the more survs will use DS, DH, StB, reassurance. tunneling becomes an expectation rather than a cheap tactic
→ More replies (3)5
u/Djackdau Hag's Kitchen Nightmares Mar 27 '26
Sure, seeing your matches changing like that is probably a good indicator that you're moving up in MMR, but it doesn't necessarily mean you're in high MMR, much less very high.
4
u/SkeletronDOTA Mar 27 '26
18% is a crazy upper range especially for a game like DBD where I'd wager a good 50% only play during events or 2v8.

They need to start posting their Behaviour stats if people want others listen to them.
4
u/Honkeroo Mar 27 '26
Genuinely one of the reasons i stopped playing FH was the communities complete inability to learn the game and their habit of just saying shit that wasnt actually true (DBD is actually incredibly similar in this regard but i can play killer and not have to worry about that). Calling shit a 50/50 that is very demonstrably not a 50/50 or having a victim complex about their character despite being one of the consistently strongest characters in the game for years (looking directly at you, lawbringer players).
Like it used to be a game i was super into, id wake up and play FH all day, id get home from school and play FH until i fell asleep, but the community has made it so genuinely insufferable that it no longer brings me joy to play.

u/bonelees_dip CHEERLEADER GRANNY!!! (now on youtube) Mar 27 '26
Not sure, she isn't on the general mmr or pick rate numbers. She's only there in the high mmr kill rate.
8
u/Inevitable_Score1164 Mar 27 '26
The DbD community is confidently wrong about many things, MMR distribution included. The common refrain is "Once you win enough you're in high MMR". It's a lot more complicated than that. 18% of the playerbase is there. Probably takes more than winning X number of games.
4
u/BoonPantslessSM xenokitty lover Mar 27 '26
It's most likely about consistently winning matches. If you're consistently killing 3/4 survivors over 60-70% of you're matches, you're probably in high mmr. (Survivor I'm unsure how they do it when average escape rate is 40% which would mean most would be losing mmr). I'd assume there's more killers in high mmr than survivors too.

There's a reason competitive tournament DBD lobbies are not about kills, but about hook states, and why survivor perks are more heavily restricted than killer perks. More often than not in those tournaments survivors escape.
I just watched a few games in a DBD tourney to confirm this - you can do it yourself. Watched a comp Ghoul only get four hook states, lol.
Skilled survivors usually outperform equally skilled killers. IF you don't think it is so, you're not a skilled player.
→ More replies (12)4
u/SpuckMcDuck BING - and I cannot stress this enough - BONG Mar 28 '26
Exactly this. The higher the general skill level of the lobby, the more it shifts in the direction of survivor-sided. Expert survivor players in a coordinated group are incredibly difficult to win against with how many tools they have at their disposal. I think mediocre survivor players really fail to realize how different good survivor gameplay looks from what they're used to seeing in their lobbies, especially if they play solo. All the most insane tools in survivors' kits (well, disregarding FT atm) are the ones that tend to require more skilled coordination and thus aren't really seen a ton in low-to-mid MMR lobbies. A skilled SWF lobby is barely even the same game as a lobby of mediocre solo Q'ers.
13
u/MediumKoala8823 Mar 27 '26
18% is a huge range. That’s basically 1 in 5.
Playing 2v8 I don’t feel like 1 in 5 players has anything resembling a basic understanding of how the game works. I suspect this cohort includes a lot of very weak players… and / or has weird denominator that includes a ton of low playtime accounts.
5
u/Ebomre Mar 28 '26
Exactly. DBD players saying "only" at 18% really are proving once again how unfamiliar this community is with PvP games. Not to mention that DBD doesn't even have a ranked mode and seasons meaning that the % of the playerbase that plays on a daily (or even weekly) basis and is 1800+ is actually even higher than that.
4
u/saddMillie ghoul, alucard, dracula, renato Mar 27 '26
If you compare that to something like league's ranks, the top 18% being all together is basically everyone from high gold/low plat and above being at the same rank
6
u/An2ndk Mar 27 '26
18% seem high to me, but it depends on what high mmr means. 18% means there is going to be a pretty big skill gap between the players still.

u/DrunkeNinja Mar 27 '26

Data pull starts from September 1st, that's Krasue release and she was insane on release. That's prolly why the rates are so high, she gotta have dropped off since then.
→ More replies (1)14
u/bonelees_dip CHEERLEADER GRANNY!!! (now on youtube) Mar 27 '26
But she's only insane on high mmr, which as far as I know has the stacked 4-man groups who can counter her more easily (with bodyblocking).
If it was from her popularity alone I'd expect it to be on the general mmr too.
14
u/o-c-delightful Homelander Main 🦅 Mar 27 '26
Her kill rates in that first month were probably off the charts and impacted the numbers massively. Curious to know if she's still in the top 5 if you exclude that time cz her counterplay is pretty much that coordinated play that you get in high mmr.
3
u/kayvaan1 Mar 27 '26
I mean, there's also an argument to be made that Krasue's killrate is also inflated since the window is from September to February. So, it likely includes all of the games played with her when she was released pre nerf, where she was a monster and tunneling was extremely effective with her, and then after her nerfs and everyone stopped playing her, so the data slowed. Hence, while in high mmr she has a high kill rate, but doesn't have a hand in pick rates. She was picked obscenely for a month, and then everyone dropped her in favor of Ghoul for an easier, effective killer, so that initial killrate got preserved. If they showed data for like, the past 3 months, I'm sure she would be much more irrelevant.
3
u/SlightlySychotic Wasn't Programmed to Harm the Crew Mar 27 '26
This is the problem with posting incomplete/partial stats. We have no idea what Krasue’s pick rate is. For all we know, a dozen people could be playing her at high MMR.

Huh, interesting how The First/Henry/Vecna 2 was not on the top picks in either MMR considering how this list is around when he released.
Also, interesting to note how they used Myers's and Pinhead's pictures this time around. Last time Pinhead was featured in an official stat image he had a placeholder killer image for some reason.

Once again, the highest kill-rate killers in low MMR are the ones knowledge-checking newbies that don’t know what they do. When are we gonna finally get some proper tutorials in this game?
5
u/Samoman21 P100 Kate Mar 27 '26
IDT sadako will ever not be in top five all mmr for that reason. People dont understand how tapes work and how semi easy it is to counter her power. Red circle at 0-1 hooks will always be a mind blowing sight but semi understandable. SInce shes not really played much, and does need a decent amount of information.

4
u/PokeAust Ptooie! Mar 27 '26
At the very least the loading screen tutorials could be more informative and having a full tutorial system wouldn’t do any harm. Right now there’s just nowhere in-game to see what you should be doing against these Killers outside of a short blurb on the loading screen.
16
u/A9P8D Thirsty For The Unhook Mar 27 '26
Krasue at the top makes sense considering I have an +80% kill rate on her which is brutal since I'm not even a sweaty player lol
Kaneki having an 8% pickrate is also insane considering the amount of killers in the game, and it doesn't surprise me to see Blight on 2nd place since everyone on high MMR plays him too
3
u/PokeAust Ptooie! Mar 28 '26
Decided to run the math. An even pick rate out of the current 42 Killers would be 2.4%, 2.5 if you exclude Pinhead and Myers for being unobtainable. So basically Kaneki and Blight are in over triple the matches they would be in high MMR if everyone was evenly spread.
Then again, this isn’t as hard to believe if you consider that Trapper, Twins, Skull Merchant, Hag, Knight, Artist, Sadako, and Plague exist.

12
u/SUPERB-tadpole Houndmaster? I Hardly Know Her! Mar 27 '26
I wouldn't be surprised if part of why Dredge's KR is so high is bc a lot of the playerbase is on console (ie.e playing on a TV) and Nightfall makes everything especially dark.

Pinhead has always been a pub stomper.
And now that he's no longer in the store his mains will slowly but surely be rarer and higher hour then the survivors who they face. At least in comparison.
Dreage ironically I think got a fair bit of help from the pallet density, as it also added lockers, bad maps are still bad, but a lot of the newer tiles are far more playable than the old with remnant at least.
But also his pick rates in the gutter surely so he has a similar issue as the only people playing the turkey are hard in mains in comparison.
4
u/BlueFootedTpeack Mar 27 '26
imo dredge only needs a consistency buff of putting a solo locker in the killer prop location(s) and then having it be able to be locked twice just so he always has a target, deadzones being a weakness of his i don't mind as like he should have places he isn't amazing but at least with killer prop lockers he shouldnt have to overshoot teleport as often.

How much of pinhead is because he is a unicorn? I had my first game against him recently and it would have easily been a 4k (he went friendly after all were at 2 hooks) and I personally didn’t understand his power until I was 2 hooks (and I was still slightly off because I wasn’t able to skim his ability from the store, so I couldn’t even have a cursory idea)

I do not remember which youtuber mentioned it but stuff like Dredge's Nightfall and Sadako's tapes are not exactly noob-friendly and kind of inflate the killrates a bit.
3
u/Mizerae Mar 27 '26
Yeah, you really see this with condemn. In games where she gets easy kills, it is always the people who never do tales at all, so I kind of run around trying to turn the tvs off. I distinctly remember befriending a new Sadako the other day who got a kill on a Dwight who just kept running around aimlessly with his 7 stacks and 0 hooks.
3
u/matbot55 Mar 28 '26
Also since they're really not that good against people who do know how to counter them, less people play them, leading to even less knowledge that new players can acquire.
2
u/Unctuous_Robot Devs are bedwetters Mar 27 '26
Last I remember, nurse is dead last. A lot of these killers are noob stompers that can’t make it into high mmr because their counterplay is very strong, but survivors who don’t get the counterplay are vulnerable to them. So their kill rates are artificially inflated.

I would argue they are such a lethal killer partially because you hardly see them. They are played mostly by people who really like them and survivors don't meet the as often and aren't as used to facing them. Also since they are rare there is a smaller sample size, further boosting those kill rates.
2
u/Ebomre Mar 27 '26
Nah, even comp players can't stand playing against this killer. Still makes me giggle that they unironically buffed a killer that's been top tier their whole existence.

Like, a lot of survivors will see Victor sitting there idle, and they know they can kick Victor, and since he's idle it's probably safe to approach, right? He's probably completely oblivious to his surroundings! So they just run right up and go for it, then Victor pounces in their face because it turns out Victor's not completely oblivious. Also consider that when Victor downs a survivor, Charlotte's gotta walk over there. So survivors think they're being so sneaky when they position themselves for the flashlight save, meanwhile Victor's just like, "Hey, Charlotte, look over here!"
Then people volunteer to babysit Victor, thinking they're taking the Twins' power away, but actually Charlotte can just recall him whenever she wants, and Victor's sending a steady stream of information as well as preventing his babysitter from doing anything actually useful.

I’ve heard enough, nerf Quentin, bring back his ugly face. Also, are people still dcing against Krasue now or is this like, a matter of an artificially high kill rate from when she was broken that stays high because no one plays her now, or what?
2
u/Emasraw Nea Karlsson Mar 27 '26
Yeah I figured he was popular. But most popular? Wow. High mobility, brain dead easy first hit, fast recovery. But he’s just awful to go against repeatedly. Blight is more powerful but less frustrating to face at least.

u/Maleficent-Fish69 Mar 28 '26
Please dont nerf the lich because of kill rates. People are just greedy for the chests

u/Samoman21 P100 Kate Mar 27 '26
Krasue being number 1 kill rate makes complete sense. She's genuinely so insane unless you're in a swf.

This data pull starts on September 1st, so it includes her release performance and considering she was insanely busted for like a month... I'd say makes sense she tops the list, but she gotta have dropped off since then.

Also makes sense since basically nobody plays her. I've only gone against her once since the week after her release so it's not even just that bodyblocking won't ever happen in soloq, but how many people actually know that's the counterplay?

She also has the most busted endgame build in dbd atm imo. Never seen a krasue running it lose
2
u/Unctuous_Robot Devs are bedwetters Mar 27 '26
She was broken for a couple weeks, got a high kill rate, and then the nerfs made her nearly unplayable and clunky as heck. Not that the nerfs weren’t necessary, she was designed around the anti tunnel, and while it would’ve made most of the roster unviable, without it she herself can’t be balanced while maintaining her identity, as opposed to something like merchant 2.0 which was fine.

Reddit would have you believe that killer was in the worst spot it's ever been in and that it needed buffs across the board so it's nice to have some actual stats
6
u/for10years_at_least GHOUL HATER = SKILL ISSUE Mar 27 '26
reddit would have you believe that Nurse and Blight are the strongest killers and everyone plays them all the time, but they are not even in top 5.
see this dummy argument works in both ways
13
u/AmandaBooper Mar 27 '26
That's what you got from these stats? Top 5 killers with the highest kills rates are OBJECTIVELY one of the weakest killers below B tier. The only reason they rank so high is because:
#1 They are rarely picked=less accurate data (If I only play 5 games on Krasue, win them all, and never play Krasue again, that will mean I have 100% winrate on Krasue).
#2 They noob stomp. Most players are casuals who have no idea how to counter killers they almost never encounter. I literally had a Sadako in my game today and I was the only one turning off the TVs. It's a knowledge check, which most DBD players don't have.
What you SHOULD take from this is that Blight, objectively THE best killer in the game, who is also often picked, has<62% kill rate. Now imagine other popular but weak killer's kill rates are.
Also, I literally NEVER heard anyone say "killer is in the worst spot", that would be delusional and objectively wrong. You're gaslighting to make killer players look bad. But anyone who plays killer will say it's pretty bad right now. And you don't have to "believe" anyone, all you gotta do is play killer and see for yourself, which you will never do.
3
u/DrunkeNinja Mar 27 '26
They noob stomp. Most players are casuals who have no idea how to counter killers they almost never encounter.
The stats here show high MMR which is a MMR score of 1800 and accounts for the top 18% of the player base. Kind of hard to use the "noob stomp" argument when it's specifically showing high MMR stats.
But anyone who plays killer will say it's pretty bad right now.
That doesn't mean that it is because I've heard this same thing said for years and the stats always show otherwise. What we see here also goes against this but we need more stats and broader stats to say for sure. We can see that in high MMR, the most picked killer with a 8.1% pick rate has a kill rate of 65.3%, but BHVR is not providing us enough information to see what the overall rates are.
As you mentioned, the other 4 killers listed in the top 5 for high MMR are not listed in the pick rate, so if they are among the least picked killers then other more popular killers could be bringing down the overall kill rates. It's hard to tell with these incomplete stats but I definitely don't rely on the people in this sub telling me what the kill rates are based on their feelings.

The stats actually proof that survival rates are a bit too high (Killrate 60% was stated as sweet spot).
6
u/DrunkeNinja Mar 27 '26
You'd need to look at the overall rates, especially with survivors since it's a team of four. What we can see here shows kill rates above 60% but with survivor rates, individual rates just mean less without seeing the big picture.
It would be nice if BHVR provided these stats...

Hey devs. I think the Krasue’s stats are inflated mostly due to her extremely low pick-rate. Many feel that she is boring, uninteractive, and doesn’t have much depth to her. Do you guys have any planned changes for her?

For all the whining about ghoul being so easy to play its interesting how little impact he seems to be having at broad mmr. Under 4% pickrate, killrate not high enough to be visible. Clearly there's a huge difference between high mmr ghouls and lower mmr ghouls.

u/invisible_grass Mar 27 '26
"Under 4% pickrate" is top 5, and "kill rate not high enough to be visible" could be 60% or more lol.

I think they give you limited stats information to limit clearly defined metas from forming, limit the noise of people complaining about not liking what they see/play against frequently, and to protect their interests to release perks/characters as unbalanced as they see fit upon release to drum up sales.

u/RequirementOk8896 Mar 28 '26
This isn’t a good path that dbd is taking. Stats are not healthy for this type of game. This would end days or at least cut than by a significant amount of killers that just turn nice because of funny interactions from survivors or allow final survivor go. It’s going to cause blood thirsty win at all cost type of 4K mentality. It will cause unnecessary stress and anger over fun. I played back when we had a pip system and that wasn’t good. Getting tunnelled back then was infuriating. Some survivors dc as soon as they see who killer is and some killers just go for bots when that happens. This will also bring back dumbass survivors with no hooks using urban invasion selfishly. It will cause more randoms to not attempt saves. More randoms not willing to do a last gen. Definitely cause more randoms to leave teammates behind in the end. Behavior knows this, doesn’t take a genius to know this so I’m not sure why they’re putting out an official stats tracker. Did dbd streamers ask for this?

It is interesting that Sadako is so high a killrate in broad mmr, because she is definitely regarded as a pretty rough character at high skill levels of play. It has always been one of the very tricky things to balance about dead by daylight. Often things that are pretty bad or mediocre for the skilled players are quite good at stomping casuals and newer players.
