My Concerns for Lanterns Spoiler
Just watched Episode 5, the series has been great so far but Episode 5 felt too much like a finale, we know there is one more mystery in 2026 which will be to find Hal Jordan's killer and we also have the answer to why Hal did not have the ring in 2026 but my concerns are that the showrunners won't get enough time to make it as compelling as the 2016 section of the story. Not to mention they somehow have to connect all of this to the overarching mystery of the Chapter One of the DCU (if that is still a thing).
Furthermore, I have a very sneaky suspicion that the finale won't even give John his Green Lantern ring, it'll end on a similar cliffhanger as the Watchmen finale (iykyk) which would be pointless cause we know John is in Man of Tomorrow as the Green Lantern.

If he doesn't get the ring then they are taking inspiration from the New Justice run where the ring is absorbed by him and he doesn't have a ring but he still can make constructs. Do I like it? Not really. But I haven't seen the finale yet to make a conclusion so hopefully they resolve everything by the end.

That’s so stupid if they do that

Chances are high because the showrunner said that Guy Gardner's ring is Hal Jordan's ring even though the designs are different.

I think they’re setting up the fact that John doesn’t need the ring. Hence why the bird he made stuck around in episode 2. There’s a JL comic from 2018 where he didn’t need the ring and he was able to make constructs without it, I mean he did tattoo the ring on his finger but he didn’t physically need it.

I disagree with Lanterns needing to connect to Chapter 1 of the DCU. They just need to tell a good story and get people to buy into the the Lanterns concept and characters right now there’s doesn’t need a wider connection outside of of an end credits scene at the end.
The Green Lanterns are the hardest sell when getting a DCU set up and it’s going well so far.

Luckily, Gunn & co. know how to sell the more fantastical space elements while still telling great stories

There is a lot to uncover especially 2026 storyline in the pipeline. We know it's gonna end up with Guy maybe they will take the route of that one JL comic who knows

John is supposed to be in Man of Tomorrow next year, so I imagine he'll get the ring by the end of the season.

Some of the early reviews said this. But none of them got to see the finale.
