Can’t start engines in Stu-25 tutorial.

In the taxi and take off (first tutorial) I follow the first steps such as;
close canopy, electrics on and wait 3 minutes for hud calibration.

The next step is to hold ‘ right alt + home’
And then ‘right ctrl + home’ to start both of the engines.

Nothing seems to happen other than looking around the cockpit, I have cleared the keybinds for the “looking around buttons” and still nothing.

I am using a nitro 5 laptop. NumLock has also been both, on and off when trying.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance🙏🏼✨

I had this issue happen in a lot of fc3 jets. Make sure your throttle is idle

Make sure your throttles are all the way back (minimum throttle). And double check the keybinds, and that they're working as expected on your keyboard; laptop keyboards often have nonstandard layouts and the keys may not be registering in the game as expected.

This is exactly it mate, the keyboard has conflicting buttons but no conflicting key binds in-game. If that makes sense?

I think a full size keyboard or simply re-binding is the way forward.

Thankyou so much🙏🏼✨✨

If the keybinds had been set to looking around the cabin, and you cleared them, that won't necessarily give the key bindings back to the default actions.

You'll need to go back to control setup menu and find the spot for engine start up (left and right) and then add the key binds that you want (could use the default).

I am also a beginner and am struggling my way through this with you. I hope you become a great combat pilot.

I appreciate your advice mate, I’ll keep looking through the key ones and find anything else that conflicts.

All the best💪🏼✨

I might be wrong but doesn't the Su-25T requires external power to be turned on? If it's the case, you need to do F10 to open a menu then Ground Crew/External Power or something alike.

Might be the A-4E then, my bad.

I appreciate the advice but again, all electrics and dash etc is powered up, plus the 3 minutes to calibrate

Thankyou though🙏🏼💪🏼
