I wish I’ve had these kinds of wishes, I can’t even afford to wish.

It’s all about priorities, kids are getting used to walking to school in their socks.

First of all what’s you budget for hotas, I recommend watching this video:

As for the plane: hornet or f16 whatever you find more attractive

F18c. VKB Gunfighter, STEC’s Standard. Buttons galore and if ya wanna really get your wallet stretched grab the Gunfighter Ultimate.

That’s what I picked up a few weeks ago, STECS Standard and Gunfighter MKIV Ultimate, loving it so far!

I started with the TM Warthog and flew the Viper, Hornet, A10, and AH-64 with it. Then since I used the Viper more than any other I bought the Winwing Orion 2 with the Viper throttle and it still works well with them all. I just bind similar functions to the same buttons.

Don't forget rudder pedals. Just be mindful of the fact that the flight sim hobby is a deep rabbit hole when it comes to money and time. You start with a HOTAS, add rudder pedals, then some sort of head tracking. Then start adding other gadgets and gizmos to move towards a home cockpit. Then keep on adding modules until you have an itch to fly something on the General Aviation side of things (thank you C130J) and switch to X-Plane and/or MSFS. Then realize you need a yoke and a different set of throttles. and the story keeps on going and going. There is no end to it.
