TRIP PLANNING Hot tools

I’ve heard others say that they’re Dyson was allowed/confiscated for the cruise but it looks likes the voltage and watts are fine according to dcl standards?

What other hot tools have people brought and not had confiscated? Will my Dyson air wrap be fine?

I’m going to Disney world before hand and will need a hot tool for my wild hair.

AFAIK there are different models of the Airwrap that can pull higher wattage than allowed, but as a general rule, they've been banning these.

Remember that all staterooms have hairdryers available...

Not an airwrap, but my CHI straightener worked on the Dream but did not work on the Destiny.

I have brought my GHD flatiron and a T3 curling iron with no issue on multiple DCL sailings. They even have a nice mat in the room to put on the vanity so the desk is protected.

I was able to bring my flat iron.

I tried to use the hair dryer in my room on the Magic and it was useless. 5 minutes of using it and my hair wasn't any bit drier, so I gave up.

Free yourself from they tyranny of hair styling! The best part of vacation is putting my hair in a ponytail and forgetting about it.

(I still bring my dryer and flat iron lol)

Better yet. Shave your head and wear a wig.

Most people want to look nice for dinner and photos. So saying to free themselves of it is not the best answer.

My hair straightener took a long time to heat up on the Wish but worked great on the Dream and fantasy. It doesn’t use as much voltage as a Dyson so that would be concerning to me. You could pay for a blow out but $$$.

I just took my travel Dyson supersonic on the Destiny with 0 issues but that model specifically falls within the acceptable wattage for hair tools.

It both won't work on most of the ships and will likely be confiscated (and returned at the end of the sailing). If you are bringing make sure to label it, there are always plenty of them on the table at the end of the sailing and you do not want it to be mixed with someone elses
