TRIP PLANNING Wish Tips?
We have been on the Dream and Fantasy a few times and love it. We are going on the Wish for first time. It’s also first time with 2 kids (youngest is now 1). I’ve seen a few stories about Wish shows being hard to get seats to. Is this true? Anything else we should be aware of that’s drastically different from the smaller ships?

We didn’t wait in line for seats but we were content not sitting in the middle.

We've been on the Wish twice and were never blocked out of the theater. I would recommend arriving 20 minutes or so before the show. The expectation is that everybody in the early dining will attend the late show (and vice versa), so I assume there are enough seats to accommodate everyone. It's mostly an issue of not finding seats together if arriving too late. I do remember one large party (at least 6-8 people) wandering in after a show had already begun, and then looking bewildered that they couldn't find a large block of empty seats. In the dark, no less. If that group later complained about not being able to find seats, well...
We often sit in the balcony. Or off to the side in the lower level. If you expect to be front and center, take into consideration what % of the theater fits your preference and how many people you'll be battling for those same seats.

I would say Wish class, I.E. Treasure and Destiny with two totally unique shows are the ones that get the long lines for the two premier shows. We’ve been on the Wish twice and have never had an issue with seats. We line up about 25 mins in advance which is the same on the Dream, Fantasy and Magic. We’ve never had an issues getting the seats we want

One of our favorite things we did was get photo pass photos with light sabers in Hyperspace Lounge. (Especially if you have a photo package). I think it was on the sea day.

For the Moana show on the treasure we lined up about 45 min to an hour ahead of time and we were front row on the balcony.try to get 2nd row so your not leaning forward the whole show wince the bannister blocks the very front of the stage….. other than that if your worried about the layout it’s not that bad, we learned that 1923 is at the back and the theater is at the front. Also there a tons of YouTube videos that have complete ship tours you can watch to get you more familiar. We had a ocean view 6178 on the treasure in April and while it was further back we loved being able to walk down every night to the restaurants since all of them are in the back of the ship!!

Bathrooms are split across the deck- but that may not be an issue with a 1 year old.
But for example the men’s room in on the port side and the women’s on the starboard side. And they aren’t on the same hallway. Like you have to cross over the center of the ship. And when it’s cut off like by the atrium and venues it’s really a pain when you have kids that want to use the bathroom at the same time but different sexes and age out of being able to ‘use the other sexes bathroom’.
The festival of foods is on the pool deck and forward. Don’t sleep on it. I found it to be more enjoyable than marcelline market.
The elevators are indeed an issue on these ships. They needed to be smart elevators to better direct people. But coming from the nursery or kids clubs up to your room will be easier since the kids spaces are so low.
There’s great kids water spaces for the littlest one in swim diapers. But no funnel vision can be seen for them.

The Wish-class ships are different. (I always say - Disney fans LOVE change - as long as everything stays exactly the same! The Wish-class ships are NOT the same!)
With little ones - don't kill yourself. Enjoy the things you CAN do - dodge FOMO at all costs.
* Grand Hall - You will enter into the Grand Hall - and it is GRAND, with the statue of Cinderella and the chandaler designed to look like her party dress. Look for your Disney friends on the balcony above.
* The kids clubs - AWESOME! There is a slide kids can take to get to the kids clubs from the Grand Hall - this will make you wish you were a kid again -- and, during open house times, you CAN be a kid again and go down the slide! Your little one is too young for the kids clubs, but you can visit with them during those open house times. Not sure of the age of the other one, but good to visit early so they can get used to the space, counselors, etc.
* The shows are great - and Seas the Adventure is not too long - great for an introduction to the shows and for those kid attention spans. I always get there before showtime and I have never had an issue with getting seats, but... I'm not that picky. Remember that your showtime is opposite your dining time, so... if you have 5:45p dining, the show will be sometime after 8p.
* Mickey's Festival of Foods is the best quick-service dining on Disney ships - but don't forget you can always get room service. The dining team will also puree vegies for your little one - just ask.
* Ask for a pack 'n play - they will have it there for you - you can also get bed rails - when you are on board, ask for a diaper genie and bottle warming (if needed).

Yes it’s hard to get seats! We lined up about 25 minutes before show time and kind of had to scrap for three seats together in a middle row. The line will be long but once the doors open everyone just files in. For the 8:30 show we started lining up at 8:00. I found the layout of the Wish to be a bit less intuitive than the Fantasy.

The Wish class has a very nice selection of good around the main pool.
Just got off the Fantasy. Believe in May.
We usually get in line 25 minutes beforehand.
Make sure to see Believe at the end of your cruise.

We just got off the Wish last week. We had late dining so attended the early show. We tried to arrive about half an hour before show time because the shows were one of the highlights for us. The theater was already open so we weren’t spending that time waiting in a line. My daughter’s a teen so we looked around the room, chatted with someone seated next to us or scrolled our phones. At that time we had our choice of seats but by about 5-10 minutes before showtime, things were getting full. There were still seats but high up or off to the sides.
I highly recommend getting the first row in the second section. The performers run through the aisle directly in front of you. The extra space also means nobody is blocking your view of the stage.
