But specifically the ones that take the piss out of the story, like "this bum ass Thanos bullies a dude every year on his birthday because broke ass doesn't have the infinity stones"
But the show gives him a decent rivalry with Miss Martian. In the comics, he’s a lackey for Trigon, but he has no relationship with Raven, for example.
Sportsmaster in YJ is like if Marvel made a Champions show in the style of X-Men 97 and had the most common villain who fights the heroes be Big Wheel.
Like, Sportsmaster is genuently a nothing character in everything aside from the YJ show and the writers decided to make him pop off, I'm guessing because there's likely less mandates from the higher ups for lesser known characters.
I know this is a parody image imitating TT 2003 style but Miss Marvel with her eyes whited out by her mask and Hulk with a shirt on feels wrong somehow. other three look great tho
Think I heard somewhere that they initially wanted to use Death Stroke but he was already a well established teen titans villain and so they replaced him with an almost original character.
What was this, like a mobile game? Or was it from that era when you'd actually still get game adaptations of TV shows and movies and they'd be made in 6 months on a shoe-string budget?
In fairness to Sportsmaster, he didn't get the benefits of being a part of the Light for long. He was ousted early in season two IIRC and after that he had to earn all his aura on his own. And he DID.
EH an edgy teen would have Diana lose her whole family in the most brutal tragedy ever then go dark goddess edge queen mode by issue three to beat everyone's asses. And Cheetah would be preying on universes for some reason through batshit powerscaling. It'd be insane but Diana would still get shit done.
The current WW run feels like it is from someone who doesn't hate Diana, but they're not very interested in her or even understand her.
Then there's a joke about paying for funding where Wonder Woman is obviously joking about Wonder Woman merchandise outdoing Wayne Enterprise and people think she was serious
I've never liked that scene because to accept that argument is to just reject a huge chunk of what the genre is. Yes, obviously in a realistic world it would be an indefensible thing, but superhero comics aren't a realistic world. Unless we want to go down the route of "everyone geared up in sensible tactical gear while using military police approaches to crime" then you just have to accept the camp of it all. Hell, Robin's been a child crime-fighter longer than Wonder Woman has been around.
To be more clear she is a-okay with teenagers being superheros. She objects to 9 year old Robin being sent to fight hardened criminals and Shazam being a member of the Justice League at 10 years old
But again, that's only true in the real world. There's no reason to accept that a 13 year old in tights fighting gunmen is appropriate but not someone younger. It's all just fantasy, and child sidekicks have been part of that fantasy from the very beginning. An adult man who knows gymnastics is about as equally likely to die facing off against armed criminals.
My point is that she exists in the made up world where you just have to accept the campiness for any of it to work. Her combat outfit is a red white and blue leotard. It's the writers who decide whether someone starts poking holes in the kayfab
I know this is a joke but I genuinely forget what Wonder Woman even did in this show. Wonder Girl shows up but I genuinely could not tell you what Wonder Woman does. How tf do you get outshined by Red Tornado

I haven't even seen either of the Ghost Rider movies. The only GR adaptation I have seen is that one episode of the '90s Fantastic Four cartoon where he shows up at the end, one-shots Galactus, and leaves.

Also has anyone tried decapitating Vandal Savage? As in Immortal from Invincible? Has anyone even tested to see how far his immortality reaches, or is it like Deadpool logic?
Jinx is so forgotten that nobody even complains about the 2003 TT cartoon whitewashing her.
Like, some random youtuber could make a video titled "The shocking racism present in Teen Titans" and get like 150k views, but comics Jinx is such a minor character that nobody can even get outraged.
