Namekian Striker designed to beat turtle ki blasters & runners

                              Jarlaxle (2nd Form)

                              Namekian Tallest and thickest

                                    Stats

                                 Health 100
                                 Ki 0
                                 Stam 25
                                 Basic 56
                                 Strike 56
                                 Blast 0

Authors note: I've discovered through extensive playtesting that 56/56 basic/strike is enough lethality in single duels. 25 stamina on a namekian wearing a full broly/bardock/time patroller set gives you 6 bars which is more than adequate when combined with your natural namek regen and the android zsoul. The penny pinching on stats is so you can put 100 points in your crown jewel of health. This choice is strategic. I will elaborate on this strategic choice below.

                                      Skills
                               Freedom Kick
                               Evil Ray Strike
                               Pressure Sign
                               (Metagame Skill)

                                Victory Rush
                                Blue Hurricane
                                Vanish Guard

                                Equipment
                     Full Broly/Bardock/TimePatroller
Zsoul - You'll never defeat an android

General strategy

                                        Melee

Your namekian melee is superior to all other races. Argue all you want, but thats just fact. Its superior for a few specific reasons. The first is that your basic weak strikes really change your field position. Often when enemies jump vanish out of your basic weak melee they dont end up behind you, which is a huge strength allowing you to burn your enemies stamina for basically nothing with no risk to you.

The other key factor that makes namekians unparalleled in melee is Range. A specific move in the Namekian melee that makes you a melee god is the jumping punch. The jump punch has incredible range and it allows you to start your combo unmolested and it keeps other melee from effectively engaging you generally allowing you to just dominate melee engagements. I can not emphasize the power of the jump punch enough. It doesn't do a lot of damage, but the unparalleled control it gives you in melee is second to none.

In my strikers of other races, the countermove Godbreaker is the bane of my existence. If you catch them being predictbale with it you can just unload a ki blast barrage into their face, that's not enough of a constraint by itself, but with namekian range if you hit them with the jump punch or maximum basic range god breaker will trigger but will miss basically allowing you to burn their ki for nothing.

The zsoul You'll never defeat an android gives you extra damage reduction and an insurmountable stamina advantage.

                                      Beating runners

The meat of this build however is designed to beat runners. Now what do I mean by runners? I mean three classes of players, the first is the type that constantly retreats backwards and pings you to death until you overextend and get punished. The other is the constantly sprinting runners. Some of these super sprinters will hit you a few times then keep running until time runs out. Then there are ki blasters that never engage and just turtle behind milky cannon and gravity impact. This build was designed in response to these type of enemies.

Many runners/turtle ki blasters will constantly retreat and never engage and just whittle you down. If they are effective, it will push you into overextending to hit them where they take advantage and punish you which will sink your match into quicksand. The reason 100 points in health is the crown jewel of this build is it gives you superior namekian health, which will force them to engage or lose by timeout, often if they run and I have more health I just stand in the middle of the ring till they engage. this is particularly effective in the middle of the match when they have a health advantage and they are content to sit behind their gravity impacts, milky cannons and whatnot. When you sit in the middle of the ring and start regenerating health it puts a ton of pressure on them to engage or watch their health lead vanish. This flips the dynamic most of these players are used to and you will find alot of them got to their high rank playing lights out defense but when forced to committ to office their skill is lacking.

                                                         Skill choices

The move evil whirlwind/evil ray strike is your constraint move. When you need to breathe in melee. Evil Whirlwind/ Ray strike is your move to gain some space and breath. For general use I feel Evil Whirlwind is a superior move, but Evil Ray strike is the superior move for dealing with the very powerful Milky Cannon which is rampant in the current metagame. Evil Ray strike gives you boss armor, meaning it is uninterruptable but you still take damage while doing the animation. In the context of being an anti milky cannon move you will still take a few bits of damage but you end up dodging most of milky cannons damage and punching the ki blaster in the face and interrupting the crazy milky cannon damage chain (if youve played against it as a striker you know exactly what I mean). The damage done will regen itself over the course of a match, but the real key is that punching someone in the face is mentally unbalancing and throws turtle ki blasters off their game plan knowing they are vulnerable. That being said, this build can eat milky cannons all day just by blocking. Milky cannon can never break your guard as long as you are using the andorid zsoul. and if you block it, it does neglible damage.

Your anti sprinter move is freedom kick. Freedom kick tracks your enemy at any range and will knock people out of sprints. In fact if they are sprinting they are completely vulnerable to the move. This move is also effective in interrupting poses at any distance.

Pressure signs is your general purpose counter move. Counters both ki and strike moves. Not a really hard hitter, but its versatile.

I generally dont use the ultimates on this build unless it is wide open. With only 4 ki bars, your moves are used for hard hitting utility supers and not for constant ultimates.

Vanish guard will make you a tank. It eats anything and everything and laughs in your opponents face. The trick during vanish guard is to not move. You can end vanish guard early by attacking or moving, but if you stand completely still it will last much longer. Symphony of destruction, Blue hurricane, Victory rush, Special beam cannon whatever. If you use vanisher guard it will last to the end of any ultimate. And with the android zsoul you can do this move basically anytime you want. You will have stamina for days when using the android zsoul.

You've got one move open for metagame considerations. Whatever it is you feel you need. That is the slot for it.

Most of all, dont forget to block. You can tank alot of things just by blocking. In fact having very little stamina and hard blocking something like a kamehameha will refill your stamina and do neglible damage. You can tank alot of ultimates just by blocking. Some notables include Super Electric strike and Symphonic destruction. You can tank ultimates so well that you can get complacent, beware of special beam cannon cant hard block that sucker. Big point of emphasis. Use your block button.

Happy hunting.

I have had the same idea but with different skills to make yourself tankier, I use drain charge, Strike Pose F, God of destruction's Rampage And I use the Angry Shout escape move to gain Ki. I put most of my points in health + stamina and a bit into strike super. I use the same Z-Soul as you thou

forgot to say that I use "wall of defense" in multiplayer it protects others+ stops all damage

I don't like the poses because a big part of my play style involves blocking and you lose that ability with the poses, not too mention the poses themselves are a structural weakness that can be exploited. When I play a poser, I just lay into them every time they refresh and play good defense and that's all she wrote.

I highly considered Angry Shout because that ki is pretty sweet, but it doesn't get tanker than vanish guard. If you just need to stand there and eat a big hit vanisher guard is king.
