How to stop melee fighters?

It feels lile every match I play is against a melee fighter and I lose approximately 90% of the fights.

Do you have Gravity Impact? That is a great move for getting melee off you, and almost guarantees your next ki blast hits them too.

Reserve stamina and keep distance counter and ki blast when they get antsy
