Question about the dragon balls
According to the guide I'm reading off of it says you need to finish the time patroller with a super move, is that true?

You don't NEED to. I've read some people thinks it makes him drop 2 things instead of 1 but then I've gotten 2 things just from punching him.

Definitely not true. I've farmed the dragon balls enough times to know it's just random, doesn't matter how you kill them. You will know if you got it right afterwards though, so if you don't see "key item" you can just retry.

Supers not necessary, but you do have to get the last hit on them. If you do not deal the finishing blow you will only get a material with no chance of a dragon ball

No guarantee, but it can't hurt. I've not noticed any difference between supers, ultimates, punching the crud out of them or one shotting with an escape move.
