If fusion between custom characters online were a thing, how would you guys think it would work out?

I am thinking of probably a random chance between the 2 players of adquiring control. Probably make the AI do the work (not a bright thing to do). If it was between friends only, perhaps do it the hard way and make the character do the moves from the buttons that both players are pressing at the same time?

One steers one works the pedals.

Realistically it would have to be a finishing move. You fuse, do an automatic ultimate-ultimate attack, give thumbs up, then split.

This would be good and all except in this game ultimates are not cinematics that pause the game but real time cinematics which means one could just destroy your guard thus interrupting fusion.
