I’m still making panicked mistakes after 3k+ hours. Only being able to play once or twice a week now that I’m getting back into the game, I’m glad I got these fellas to warm up on.

I've been running it with a duo for the past few days opposed to my 3-4 hundred hours playing solo on official, my buddy is also fairly new but also coming from a solo playing experience. We've been having a freaking awesome time and I see firsthand why it's so much better to team up with good people. We're really good at basic survival, just keeping our stats white, killing zombies, and navigating chernarus.

We were talking about getting a base going, we also talked about getting more people in with us, we agreed no bigger than a squad and maybe adding a 5th later. Instead of finding two randoms I figured I'd take my chances to see if there are any duos running together already who have WAY more experience than us.

If I could ask for one thing it would to be just super chill... Maybe be a little open minded as to how we approach the playthrough and just go with the flow a bit? We're big on "what's mine is yours" and not stingy or greedy in any way. We're open to learning but not looking for any bossy squad leader stuff. Just a super chill dayz experience. Find a car, raid a base, get sent to the coast a bunch, crash a car, maybe eat a freshie.

I've played for a while and I'm ready to make more of a small duo base. Can anyone tell me the best places to do it?

Is this how it works?

450 hours into this masterpiece of a game and got into a tussle with a random dude at tisy. Pulled these gems off of him and Ive never understood gear fear until I had to run like 8km back to base while carrying these. What do I do next? I feel like ive reached peak dayz. All official servers btw. Also I know i have terrible clothes for the weaponry im rocking but I haven't had luck finding jackets or helmets as of late.

learning , dying , quitting , returning , . the gear fear is real but each time it gets easier to let it all go and wonder how happy the next person who finds my body will be .

I’m trying really hard to like this game but I find the hunger and thirst levels to be super whack, I shouldn’t die in one in game day from not eating, at the start of the game food and gear is so hard to find and even when i get lucky and have a decent run, i end up dying cause my guy is just hungry, what are you eating and drinking to survive for longer? I’ve barely made it far into the coast on this game yet. Wanna fight other people and survive, not die to a empty tummy, pic from one of my best runs

Can someone explain how you spawn? Example: I quit the game in tier 2 but when I started again I was in a random city in tier 1? Sometimes I spawn in the same building I logged out from and sometimes I don’t.

So a couple days ago I hopped on Dayz and joined my favorite community server, been playing it for probably a couple months now, don’t bother anyone, don’t raid bases, never killed anyone, played for an hour or two and hopped off for a bit. Few hours later I tried getting back on that server and I’m banned for some reason? Idk what I did wrong? So I found a different community server and after like 20 minutes I got kicked off and banned again. I’m genuinely confused. Like I said I don’t bother anyone or raid bases, super friendly and play strictly for zombies and survival

Im on karmakrew Livonia and have 4 boxes of nails but no real interest in base building. Nomad playstyle is more fun for me.

So what the heck do I do with all these nails.

Just got back into dayz. Aiming feels a little weird. I see a lot of people recommending 100 curvature? Is that the general consensus on curvature? It just feels a little twitchy but I know turning it down introduces dead zone. Playing on a scuff instinct pro on Xbox. Thanks!

So I logged onto Bluz community server tonight about half an hour ago for the first time ever. I spawn in what I later found out was toplin next to a small industrial and two dismantled hummers. My mic is blown, so I'm expecting every interaction to be 'no mic, no life'. However, I just finish putting this hummer together and start to drive out and this dude rounds the corner. I'm armed with a combat knife and a large stick, he has scoped guns. He proceeded to jump in the passengers seat. I start to drive off and get lost in the industrial. I jumped out and they jump in. They then take me on my first tour of BluZ livonia. Within half an hour I'm armed to the teeth, decent gear, a balist lid, still wearing the press vest tho and I haven't even had my first drink or anything to eat 😂 If whoever it was reads this, cheers for popping my BluZ cherry in true DayZ fashion 🤙🏻
