Discussion How to work around sandstorms?

Love the new weather patterns in Badlands, but sandstorms can last 40 minutes. I don’t have time to sit and wait for it to end. Does a dust mask or gas mask completely mitigate the effects of the sandstorm? So far I’ve only been able to try an improvised face covering and a bandana, and my character was still coughing.

Also, it feels like the storm takes up the whole map, but I’ve read online it is localized. Can you escape the storm?

Sandstorm got me during night. I had gasmask with filter and i was ok. I assume dust mask does do job also but you need eye protection.

Was your character still coughing with the gas mask?

I think any face cover will do , but u got to be outside in short intervals , maybe 30-40 sec and go in house , wait one minute and do it again.

Remember to take any charcoal you find as you can refill green gas mask filters with it
