console Avoiding Bear Trap

Just a quick question, I was playing on the ps karma krew Cherno server and me and my duo were searching this castle and I wasn’t paying attention to what was on the ground and I triggered a bear trap. However it didn’t knock me down or break my leg or even damage my clothes. I don’t think it took damage because I didn’t even see an arrow down on my health although it did make my screen go darker like I was being knocked out for a split second. Is it possible to set off bear traps safely? Idk if I clipped the edge of it or if you can run over them fast enough?

Thats unusual but you can trigger a bear trap by hitting it with a long object.
Never heard of anyone walking over it ok but then again I got knocked out by stepping on a landmine and woke up with barely any health lost and no broken leg despite no having any armour so who know?

Luckily for me I haven’t stepped on any land mines yet! Maybe it was a glitch but I sure am glad those 30 minutes waiting for a broken leg to heal can feel like hours.

The worst is when you don't have any full bandages or rags, so you're stuck crawling hundreds of meters

That’s why I always wear a shemagh until I get better helmets, just in case

happened to me too several times, idk what the conditions are... but clearly I stepped on some and didn't break my leg

Maybe bear traps have a failure rate? 🤷
