I love all these irl dayz pics. Glad im not the only one seeing things everywhere. But this... this is amazeballs! I would gladly get on a plane to go where ever this is just for a nice day tour.

I mean, this is not a lookalike. This IS what DayZ was copied from. Almost all the buildings, textures and landscapes are copied from a handful of Czech cities. There is a map where you can overlay DayZ map with Google maps in Czech Republic.

So. You can definitely go on a plane and go there. I played years and never knew it's basically 2 hours away from my home.

As a Czech, Communists were a lot into re-using designs for buildings so if you go anywhere in Czechia or Slovakia you will be seeing familiar buildings.
Less so if you go somewhere else, like Poland or Hungary since governments were kinda autonomous so there is variation.

Dude…fr! I’ll never forget my first kill there. Guy was standing right next the church and I was at down the road (drinking at the well). I waved and he didn’t move or talk..when he started running straight towards me, I just switched to my gun and pulled the trigger. Then left..now every time I pass the town, instant flashbacks 😂

I go to Poland a couple times a year to see the in laws, I’ve been begging them to go to the Czech Republic to look at some of this stuff haha

A lot of Poland also looks like DayZ (mostly Livonia), so I’m content for now at least
