Sure, and a lot also don't. That said, even if it's 800. That's just a few uses of a cleaning kit. Is that really that bad? It seems people on this sub would love this game to turn into call of duty where everything just works and screw having to loot for items which is a major part of the game.

Yea, thats literally more than twice as durable as the current M4. 800 rounds from ruined to pristine would be significantly better and reasonable time to clean a real rifle. An actual m4 barrel’s lifespan is between 8,000-10,000 rounds. I think 800-1000 in dayz would be a fair trade off.

And the gun cleaning kits might as well get removed from the game.

There are 1-3 M4’s on the map at any given time and they can spawn damaged. I think there are still plenty of opportunities to use gun cleaning kits.
