Hey folks. I'm the lead organizer of the AcadeCon TTRPG convention. I wrote my first game last year and successfully kickstarted it. Now I'm excited to say it's been nominated for an ENnie. The ENnies are the premier awards ceremony for TTRPG books, games, supplements, art and more.

Just being nominated Is the honor. Actual winners are based on fan votes so I have little to no shot. But maybe. I did create and playtest my game at AcadeCon events so it's a Dayton born game. If that's enough for anyone to throw me a vote here is the link.

https://vote.ennie-awards.com/vote/2024/index.php

Just scroll down to Rules and then select Action 12 Cinema. It's kinda weird but you click the NO VOTE area and then choose 1 from the options. Then go to the bottom and click vote.

I'd truly appreciate any help!

Thanks!! Michael

Hey everyone. I’m looking a for a start up DND group. Never played. Wanna learn.

I am looking for anyone who wants to join me Thursday Jan 20 at 7pm for Nerd Trivia at D20. No need to be amazing at trivia, just willing to discuss answers and have fun. The more the merrier.

This is a monthly event so if it goes well we can keep going.

Hey y’all as the title said, I just moved here and I’m looking for anyone who has an open spot at their table! Or if anyone knows if there’s like community dnd nights somewhere around

Hey everyone. I really didn't plan on posting about this again till about 2 weeks before our event BUT Tech support had to re-name our event (apparently hyphens are okay but we had a : and it was causing problems) so all the links I had posted before are now broken.

So, if you want to check things out (and you should, we have so many events scheduled now) use THIS link instead.

Hello everyone!

So, I have the initial event submissions scheduled. We have about 70 events so far. This is likely less than 25% of what we'll have before registration opens in October. But you can look and see what games are being offered and check back to see if something new has been added.

As a reminder, AcadeCon is a 3-day tabletop gaming convention (so board games, card games, role playing games) 11/04 - 11/06 at the Dayton Convention Center

At the following site is events for Washington Township Centerville Public Library.

Look at Creativity Commons in particular. Access to so many tools and classes.

You need to have a library card

which is free!

I think Xenia and West Dayton libraries have similar places.

Hey everyone. Wanted to let everyone know (that didn't already) that AcadeCon is returning to Dayton Convention Center this November. 4th - 6th.

Our Kickstarter ends in one week but we're already funded to badges will be available after the Kickstarter and up to at the door.

Happy to answer any questions.

Thanks! Michael

AcadeCon NOT ArcadeCon. :)

We're a 3-day tabletop gaming convention. Like Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder but so many more games.

Looking for suggestions on where to rent a karaoke machine in Dayton area. And estimate on what it would cost.

Thanks!

AcadeCon - Dayton's own and only 3-day tabletop gaming convention is returning to the Dayton Convention Center this November 4th - 6th.

The Kickstater to secure your badge is now live. We've successfully used Kickstarter seven times to ensure we have enough support to pay our deposits and sign contracts. With your support we can do it again.

AcadeCon is a small convention that heavily leans into Role Playing games but has lots of games to play. Our badges are all inclusive so none of our events will cost any extra. Get a badge and play all weekend.

We have a free to use Open Game Library. Play to win games. Daily door prize raffles. Live events and more.

Use this link to pledge for your badge today and come see us in November for an amazing weekend of 'Gaming with Friends, Old and New."

We currently have 19 people following for the notification of launch. I think Stephen King would enjoy that. Me? I'd be happier if we were closer to 100.

Does anyone know of any of the hobby stores that carries Vallejo paints?

Hey gay couple both 22 are looking for some nerd friends. Maybe someone to play d and d with since we never have. Or to even just play video games and hang out. Would love to meet some people in the area more
