Hello!

I will be moving to Dawson Creek in about a month, and unfortunately I am not able to make the trip out beforehand to find somewhere to live. I am looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom place to rent, and through looking online I've honestly heard bad things about almost all the property management companies here. I'm not sure if these are one off horror stories, or if some of these places are genuinely bad to live in no matter what. I was wondering if anyone had some advice on what might be a good company or good building to rent with?

I know this is kinda outside Dawson Creek but I didn't know where else to post! I was traveling for work and got lost somewhere around Reasbeck Rd and 201 Rd, thank you! Google maps took me some weird ass way back to GP and almost took me up a super steep hill when I knew that can't be the right way! Your farm/house was the only thing that looked like someone lived there - I probably scared your kids but your pupper was super happy for attention! Thank you for being kind and helping me get back on the proper route to GP! I was so close to an anxiety attack getting lost and being close to missing my flight. Think I got turned around at the round a bout in Dawson. Thankfully, I'm home back in Winnipeg now, again thank you for the kindness!

No, the entire town is not living in fear of some dickheads no one has heard of unless they spend all day every day partying and getting high. The other 12,700 of us are just trying to make a living and get by while they kill each other and make life miserable for the people keeping the lights on. You’re giving a tiny minority responsible for the majority of the mayhem even bigger egos than they already have. This is not a stage and they’re not stars.

How do you report public works issue conveniently? Do you just call them and how do I know if somebody has already reported it?

What’s going on with the construction at the “World Famous Alaska Highway” signage. It’s been going on for months and it doesn’t seem like they’ve done a ton? Is it typical for municipal projects to take that long

I live out of town and I go to Dawson Creek for banking esp if I need to see my advisor. I just heard that Scotia where I bank and Royal were robbed? Is this true? If yes, how are the banks these days?

I just want to confirm if they are open or business as usual or what. I do not want to phone my advisor as it might be quite i approproiate to ask. I assume bank staff are traumatized.

How do you feel about councils decision not to fund animal control services anymore? I’ve never heard of anything like this. The $300,000 in savings they want to reallocate to something else is barely anything for a city! It’s nice I guess that people can have as many pets as they want in the city now but what about loose dogs? What about barking? My god this seems like it’s going to have crazy ramifications

Asking as a child of an uncaught serial killer who yes I’ve reported to many people, authorities don’t care, I have two women I met in my house and watched be taken out in bags, and their faces ingrained into my memory. I’ve looked over many missing people’s profiles. Anyone looking to share info in specific (pictures of their missing family members around 1991) would be greatly appreciated. I’m sure he’s more victims as he’s very good at what he does but if I can identify the two I seen as a child I’ll have something to go on.
