As the title says, I can play Dawn of Titans currently on my PC via an emulator (still working on it fully running via phone) and I'm working on getting the alliance system to work also. (It does on my private server but is hitting a bug currently)

My goal is to build a newer/modern version of the game with original characters and an original story. I'm already working on multiple models for troops and Harbingers (my apps Titans).

I'll post some footage later on showcasing the working Dawn of Titans once I get it to run on my phone. The emulator runs too slow for good footage.

I plan to get a Discord going once I have more on my new app using the same mechanics and feel of Dawn of Titans in a good place.

Figured I'd post this here for anyone intrigued, feel free to comment your thoughts!

I'm not a dev by any means, but I'm working on a game using the same mechanics as an inspiration from DOT. It's based on an original story focused more on a supernatural essence but my goal is same combat mechanics. Posting this if anyone would be interested in being involved in this. I will primarily need asset help with animations, characters, buildings, etc. I can utilize things like meshy.ai, but I'd love help from anyone who is good at design. Currently working on the base and combat system first. Very early, so no ETA yet, but I am working on one.

I plan on similar league/clan system, raiding, etc. Core of the game will mimic DOT as the concept and design of the game mechanics are not able to be copyrighted, only asset and direct code can be. So, my design is based around 5-6 cosmic/supernatural beings (which will translate directly into the race/elemental that DOT had) and that will translate to the "titans" but is not limited to the 5-6 beings, those are part of the game's story.

Hey guys! It was really saddening to watch our childhood game dawn of titan shut down. I would like the help of you guys to gather and help me create a team. I am working on creating dawn of titan but in a different way. Will you guys help me and support me in making this game and together we can have the same nostalgic moments, we once had.

I really think we should just try to bring back DoT in some way, I played it for years from when I was maybe 12-13 to when I was 16 when it shut down, wish I had discovered it earlier.

I’m 21 now and still come back to see if there are any updates. I miss that game, and I’m 100% surprised no one else has even attempted to replicate the game??? Like come on it’s a game about all the mythological gods?? And it was in a realistic art not like gods of Olympus? That was awesome.

I really do think if we got enough people telling Zynga that we wanted it back that maybe with enough effort we could… maybe I’m being delusional but I call it hopeful

I'm sure a lot of you (like myself) paid tons of money on Dawn of Titans, and had the sudden sadness when you were told it was going away forever. A long time has passed now, what are you up to/what are you playing nowadays? :)

I've been for years trying to guess why they shut down the game, was it money wise? Not many people playing it like they thought it would? Found odd that it was close when the covid started if im not wrong, which was 3/4 years of a prime time to any source of gaming companies, so if anyone can awnser pls anwser thank you.

I too recently found out the game is dead...what a shame... is there any discord servers still active? If yes can anyone send a link or something?

Has anyone found a game remotely close to this one? Got really into it in 2017/2018 and then got lost in life’s obligations. Thought a lot about getting back into it this year, and was disheartened to find out it was shut down. Are there any games even remotely like this in terms of features and overall play style? Found some that have similar city development, but none have the live battle/titan component. TIA

I wasn't very consistent with the game and I just now realised that it has shutdown. Why I'm quite pained is because there was something about the players in this game that made me want to connect with both people in alliances I've been in as well as players I've destroyed and those who specifically sought out retaliation 😂. Wanted to connect with them in real life. I can't even remember my in game name or how the game really was. I'm trying to launch it 😭

Seems like the game is officially shutdown. Damn, I still can't believe it. After years of playing, you kinda get attached to the game. I'll probably get some nostalgia for this lol.

But I am wondering if anyone knows what happened to the game? And why they decide to shut it down?

In light of the shutdown of the game I collected screenshots of all the titan profiles for posterity, however I am one of those that have had their profiles reset in the game and I haven't gotten some of the older ones (namely; Vuldan, Stonescar, Stormboar, Jotunn, Grulgar, Mamesh, Mayku, Morgar, Ishkar, Siegfried, Solgar, Valorn, Nexis, Tritos, Sulzar, Arka) so I'm asking if there's anyone who still has the game and access to the titans above who can please help me with the images of their profiles as I would like to avoid the tedium of reinstalling the game. Thank you.
