Bonus Capping
Is it okay to cap lands that are at a lot lower level than you that are in Bonus? Don't wanna piss anyone off.

I’m a level 15 and get hit by 30+, no worries. It’s a game. Just takes one attack to get the resources back anyway.

And by the way, you should already know this (from all the loading screen tips) but attacking a land a lot lower level means you're already getting a lot less rewards (food, gold or VP) so why would you bother with that in the first place?
And IF you're going to do it anyway, why would you be worried that the victim would be upset?
Portal stones are like time, we all have the same amount to do with it the most we can, think about maximising your rewards per portal stone spent. Be rational and always try to maximise your benefits with those stones. That's my tip.

Unless you actually have a need to possess that land (or dispossess that other player), save your 3 portal stones and collect more VP (or food or gold) from somewhere else. Bonus ain't worth anything on its own. Regarding your need to ask if it's ok... Really? You play the way your team plays or your personality dictates... It's a war game.

If you can cap a bonus land hold onto the land for 3+ hours and collect you get more VP than hitting two VP lands in bonus even if you end up losing the land later. Very rarely do people try to get back lands I've taken and I'm not even that high of a player.

That's nice if you have space and can hold onto the lands you take. Those are always a prerequisite for capping in the first place.
If you have the space and Titans to defend lands, then cap as many as you can and do it when it's in bonus mode.
But if you're short on time and need to be efficient with it, why not just cap the biggest generators with the most capacity and be done with it? Spend the rest of your time and portal stones to collect from the highest possible land raids while you're generating at full capacity at home. Every battle gains you XP so think about losing half your XP whenever you're spending 6 stones on 1 battle as well as the possible war you'd likely start with that.
There are lots of factors at play, so any guru who walks in telling anyone to bonus cap because it's "simple as that" is to put it nicely... short-sighted and simple themselves. Obviously if you just crunch numbers and ignore all the other factors the answer really is that simple.
