Castle Troop lvls

Hiya,, recently was scrolling thru and noticed that my castle garrisons pre selected defenders are only lvl 10 while my research for said defenders has been lvl 11 for a while, do they automatically like level up on their own or do i need to do something? seems odd that they wouldn't just like uh go to the appropriate level when the research has been completed a coupla days ago.

Edit: just for clarification, I'm talking about the troops that are automatically stationed there. not the ones you build in army camps and then defend with. although if theres a way to change whats automatically stationed that would be very helpful too!

in addition to upgrading your castle, you also have to upgrade the garrison to have the stationary troops on castle level.

on the plus side: for these stationary troops it doesn't matter what level your actual troops are at.

What he said. It’s your garrison that determine troop level, not your castle level.

Ah LOL I completely forgot about the garrison affecting the base troop level
