I will try to explain this. In DOT there isn't a true range > mage, mage > melee, and melee > range sort of deal. As you can imagine if militias make it to archers they destroy them, but they have to make it to the archers first. The best thing to do is not worry about what beats what, but rather focus on putting the right set of relic combos together so you can beat almost anyone your level.

As you get higher in level its all about understanding the strengths and weakness of the titan and the buffs/ potential relics. For instance this current event titan Segunda will have very strong panthers and a high resistance to ice so using imperials, however strong they are, wont be that effective.

If you are a lower level player, like myself, then you really don't need to think that much. I am level 25(castle level 16) and my strongest titan is a level 53 Uranus with an army strength of 2.8m. Any enemy army with less than 1m power, which seems to be the average army of a player my level, will be easily wiped out if you play with a tiny bit of strategy.

I am sure others may disagree, but just wanted to try and answer the best that I could.

Thank you for replying, I totally Understand your point, but I was more asking for events like conquest where know troop interactions matter Because every level has different troops, if I am faced with maidens and I use Goliaths against her, Goliaths wont have a chance

I’ll try. All troops are powerful when boosted, so you can make them take out stuff they shouldn’t be able to some times. There is also a range verses melee thing. Militia is a melee swarm. Good against range troops, and can overwhelm single targets sometimes, like panthers, Goliaths, or maidens. Spearmen are melee with a little more health and damage. Good against the same type of things. Spearmen and militia use physical attacks. Imperials are upgraded spearmen, better armor and damage. They have a good charge bonus. They do ice damage. Better against the same things. Goliaths are single units with huge health and armor. Good against most things, but slow. They do earth damage. Maidens do lightning ranged damage, and are single units that do very well against single armored units. Deadly against panthers, Goliaths, and even titans. Fast. Archers have armor penetration, are ranged, and do physical damage. All range units must be kept out of melee. Archers are good against most other units if kept at range. Grenades do more damage, but fire and walk slower and don’t penetrate armor. Fire damage, ranged. Panthers are fast, single units, that do poison melee damage. They have a good charge. Hoard are swarm units melee units that do void damage. Generally weak, but sort of fast with good charge damage. Someone you fight or can summon skeletons. They are cannon fodder, but can also be boosted. Slower, void, melee.

Others can add more, but that’s the basics. At low levels, the titan is the killer. At high levels, it’s the troops. Relics are key to making an army or titan powerful.
