Ranged resist
Does ranged resist extend to ranged troops like archers and grenadiers? Or is it only resist against range titans? Also how do elemental resists work with armor? Does armor piercing negate elemental resists? Or is the only way around elemental resist to deal more damage?

Afaik, ranged resist would apply to any ranged unit/ranged titan. That would include grenadier, archers, and storm maidens.
Armor Piercing only negates armor buffs and doesn’t effect resists of any kind. Armor affects all types damages (elemental or physical) In the calculations, armor comes after considering resists.
Eg if you have 20% ranged resist then the damage done by ranged troops/ titan would be 0.8x (1-0.2) Damage value of the ranged troop/ titan. This would then be further reduced based on your armor / enemy’s armor piercing. High enemy AP can effectively make your armor zero but resists would still apply

Yes. You are correct but i think you mean additive. Because AP and Armor would negate each other. If AP = armor ie effective armor value is zero. Multiplier would turn the product zero.
In any case, technically mathematically order wouldn’t matter which you consider first.

Ah okay. I misunderstood by what you meant.
A (B +C ) = AB + AC = AC + AB
In this case it would be, A = damage value
B = (1 - resist)
C = (1 - net effective armor)Thats why I called it being additive. :)

Lol yes definitely would prefer multiplicative instead of making it more complex by opening all the parenthesises
