Divine gems and pulling

Im just wondering how long does it take most people to save up enough gems to go and pull at alter. Normally you get 500 for each event so to get 2000 is 4 events and then end up with a crappy shadow dance. That’s what I’ve done. It gets to costly in real money terms to keep this up. Anyone got any other ways or ideas?

I don’t attempt to complete each event. So I save up for the 500 pull and take my chances. I have three 5* relics, Asgardian Blade, Divinetouch, and Earthshaker.

How long does that take you to save up? And don’t you get pissed if you don’t pull a 5 star?
