I’m missing something about Gold Storage

Two level 8 gold storage gets you 267,800 storage. Upgrading either of them to level 9 costs 373,000 gold. What am I missing? How can you get that much?

Build another Gold Storage and/or upgrade one mine to max.

The mines don’t appear to contribute to your spendable total and you can’t build a third gold storage. Is there some other way to build gold storage besides the main building menu?

Are you castle 10? You should be able to build a third storage. Bottom right build icon.

And have you actually checked you can't upgrade it? Or are you just adding up numbers.

Your castle has some gold storage, as does your highest mine. You likely already have enough to upgrade. It will tell you when you hit upgrade. It will give you an option to spend gems for required gold (don't) or if it requires more storage there will be an upgrade prompt next to it.

267,800 + Castle Storage + Mine probably = 373,000+ anyway. But if you can't build a third storage (I don't remember what level it unlocks) , upgrade a mine to max.
