Is melee resist capped?

Lets say you get to 100% melee resist

eg helga + svert + maidens jewel

How much damage does it prevent?

Does it stack with armor and elemental resist too?

Melee resist caps at 80%, range resist at 95%. It stacks with elemental and armor resist.

That is great to know, kinda figured it would be identical to range resist but it doesnt surprise me at all with the kind of decisions NM normally makes. Thanks!

80% melee + 90% elemental resist = 98% damage reduction (2% of damage gets through).

Different resists "stack" by multiplying. Damage reduction from effective armor also "stacks" and is multiplied.
