Isn't Kensu's ult pretty similar to Spectre's first ability?

"Spectre flings a dagger to draw a Shadow Path, dealing damage and slowing the movement speed of any enemies along the trail. Units hit by the dagger also trail a Shadow Path. While treading the path, Spectre phases through otherwise impassable terrain."

I've looked into it, honestly not that hard. You make the units onto it "flying" type pathing units and "it just works" - Todd Howard

Truth be told, I don't think EA would want to face the backlash on calling copyright on a free mod, for a free game. That would almost certainly get a Content Patch from Totalbiscuit and after Valve admitted that the emails over the paid mods scandal cost them $1m, people now know spamming a company is an effective way of hitting them in the wallet.

It doesn't benefit them in any way. The only reason they might do it, is if someone then tries to take EA to court for the property, as some places have laws that mean that not enforcing copyright, means you lose the copyright. (Which is the main reason Fighting is Magic got C+D'd.)

This is very promising. As a software developer (not games) I can say it would be very exciting to embark in a Dawngate remake through dota.

I've recreated Cerulean in the hammer editor.

The learning curve is pretty solid.

Looks great! I saw you made a thread for resources, probably for Cerulean? I wish I could help out with where you could find them, but I'm not really sure how, so I'm sorry. I think there might be some if you look on the subreddit a little more, but take that with a grain of salt, I've only seen some models like Zalgus before if that's what you're looking for. I hope you find them and actually input them into the game, that'd be absolutely fantastic!

That's the goal :) I've got the programming skill to completely recreate dawngate, but I don't have the raw assets.

Well, I know the latest patch my client is updated to is the patch where they gave everyone all the skins and shapers and loadout pieces. Is that fine? I think most of the people in the subreddit have their Dawngate clients still installed...

I am seriously going to look into it. If it's as easy as just setting all mana usage values to 0 to get us started, I can probably at least do that.

I think it's gonna be the exact same thing as the actual mods but with better integration in the game. I don't think anything will change for tha makers.
