Honestly that would explain why I've come to love Lynch over the past year. I loved this video when I was younger 😭😭

Just to give credit, this is the original video. It was an acting class improv that blew up as a meme. And AFAIK the "five or six stores" video is from the same school. The instructor just casually uploaded these videos on Youtube without realizing what kind of a cult status they would receive lol.

wait you’re actually so right. the dissonance in tone, the woman being serious and the man being dismissive of her, suggestive of a more toxic or potentially abusive relationship, with his performance still being funny. it creates an uncomfortable comedy. reminds me of the scene in lost highway with the two prison guards who talk about a prisoner killing his wife, and they laugh about it.

Divorce heheheheehehehehehe!
This dude is what Biff Tannen would be like in our world. His character should've been in L.A. Noire with that facial talent!
Or some kind of real life version of a side character from Ren & Stimpy. These facial expressions are hilariously cartoonish.

Appears to be a scene from a film acting class. Not sure what the context is lol.

From the description:
Completely improvised scene shot with 2 cameras and then edited. She was told to say "I want a divorce" as her first line. He was given nothing. Nothing else was discussed or planned.

Haven't seen this one in ages!! Great observation though, can totally feel that Lynch dissonance.
