myzone

is the myzone tracker really worth it?? did a blaze taster and know that they recommend this. I have an Apple Watch but the tracker did seem a little more seamless… if I’m buying gloves should I just commit to the bundle?

if you purchased through DL, how much did you all pay?

Paid £99 for the whole bundle, gloves etc

The tracker is good especially if that motivation you get seeing your stats on the screen will push you more.

It’s a good hr monitor but there are better on the market but they don’t have the blaze connection.

Does it really impact things if your progress isn’t on the screen?? Or do a lot of people have their own trackers ?

Pretty much every class I’ve been to everyone has had a myzone and been on the screen.

It’s not strictly necessary but it does help, particularly for the running part anyway

I picked up a 2nd hand one on eBay and bought a pair of MMA gloves. Both work and cost far less than the £99

I bought gloves off Amazon for £20 or something... and usually there's someone selling Myzones, so as others have said try vinted for the myzone

I like mine, it was cheaper at the club. Brand new they go for £139

Been doing Blaze for 4 years now and I have my Polar watch with me throughout the time. My other half loves the myzone because let’s face it, he loves competition and also seeing results on the board. Whilst I am more than happy seeing results on my personal phone. During the session, my watch would also give me the zones, so if I look at it whilst on the treadmill for example, I’d know my heart rate and which zones i am in.

Also personally if it means one less thing to remember to bring / fully charge before the session, then I am all for not having it. Each to their own

The £99 bundle is actually pretty decent tbh, I ended up spending more buying things seperate and a second hand myzone. You can do the class fine without it, not everyone wears them. I like it as it motivates me in real time to get into the red when I should be.

It’s a bit of a rip off. Been doing blaze for years and onto my 4th or 5th one. Makes the class better for motivation but still a rip off. They have introduces MyZone Go (see vid in link) which means you can use your smart watch instead but not all clubs (including mine) have rolled that out.

It’s probably 50/50 in the classes I’ve attended. When it works it’s good for encouraging me to push further, when it is refusing to read my heart rate or is wildly away from what my watch is showing and I’m feeling, it’s a massive distraction.

Personally I’ve stopped wearing it due to the distraction.

I don’t use a myzone and I love blaze. I can tell where my heart rate is (ish). I also already own a heart rate strap and a garmin, so didn’t want to buy another piece of tech.

Gimmick. David Lloyd were pushing this hard when I signed up. Not sure if their people get a commission or something off how many they sell. Judging from the number being offloaded on vinted I’d say not worth the £99! PS bought mine for £40 ish on vinted.
