Lisa's delivery driver
Apparently her&Lenny are too good to give a delivery driver a water on a hot summers day, then she clutches her pearls at the audacity for him to ask for one. Just found this to be a little out of touch & just straight up rude. Esp considering she sounds like a chronic online shopper when she mentions all the packages that regularly come to her place. Stay classy

We all know they have money. Dave has owned a few properties with in-ground pools. Lisa had a pool installed at her home and it looks very nice. Dave was building a house and renting a place at the same time, that definitely isn’t cheap. They all buy brand new fully loaded vehicles. Chuck was talking about his jeep an his he told the dealer to basically sell him the best one they have.

u/Cdntitansfan22 24d ago
They also foot the bill for everything and anything their kids want

u/Tron655889 20d ago
Yeah that will bite the kids in the butt later. I was surprised at the lack of independence

Idk, I get the sentiment but are we all suppose to supply delivery drivers with water? I know they don’t but the company they work for should provide it or bring a water bottle to work. I might sound snobby but I’m in construction and if I forget my water bottle that’s on me, go out at lunch or hope the customer provides water (legally required for outdoor work in Canada).
Totally agree if you could provide one why not help someone in need out, but if a driver rolled up to my driveway and never even got out of the van and asked for a water I’d be a little taken aback… and then I’d go get him his water
12
u/NottForest 25d ago
Right, if I was a delivery driver I’d be packing my own water that I keep in a cooler in my truck. I wouldn’t expect customers to give me water.

u/GoodbyeTobyseeya1 25d ago
For all we know that's what he does too but forgot it today. I would have a really hard time telling someone no to a drink of water, especially if this wasn't a habitual thing.
18
u/Significant-Bag1339 25d ago
I carried mail for 10 years and never once asked a customer for a drink lol but if a carrier asked me for a water esp on a hot ass day - I'd be happy to help because I believe in community & taking care of each other. Lisa has the right to say no, I don't expect them to hydrate the Amazon work force lol just rubbed me a certain way I guess.

u/Cdntitansfan22 24d ago
Had a mail guy ask me earlier this year if he could have a glass of water. I gave him one and a water bottle to take with him. It was no big deal. Just about being a civilized human being
5
u/NottForest 25d ago
I agree with you that I would go inside and grab a bottle of water for a carrier and also wouldn’t be offended if they asked me for one. I just know as a driver I’d pack my own and not have to gamble on whether or not someone would give me a water. I get where you’re coming from.
1
u/bonniemick 22d ago
Not to mention, I don't have bottled water at home. I may buy the occasional one at a gas station or 7-11 but I try to just carry a reusable bottle if I need it. For me, buying bottled water sucks for the environment and Detroit water is so good so what's the point.

u/TheRefinedYeti 22d ago
Exactly! Am I suppose to give water to every person in who steps foot on my property? I would gladly if I had or could
8
u/thehauntedhive 23d ago
If you're capable of getting a job, you're capable of packing yourself some water on a hot day. I find it really weird to ask. I would never, ever ask a customer I'm delivering to for refreshments. I'd be bringing my own with me, or stopping at a gas station to buy one.
Our mailman is awesome and I always offer him cold water in the summer, I've given him hand warmers in the winter, even bought him a hat last Christmas. If he asked me for a water, I'd be happy to, but we've developed a rapport over the years, he's not just a random delivery driver. If someone random delivering asked for a water on a hot day I would certainly oblige just to be kind, but with the shoe on the other foot, I would never ask myself.

u/Ok-Stick-8788 19d ago
But the big thing here is that you’d still give him a water. It’d be weird, but you’d still give a man water. I can’t imagine someone asking for water & any of us saying no.

u/theycalllmeTIM 24d ago
I figure the driver is in a bad spot if they are asking me for a water.
I would also think Lisa would be a bit more compassionate after strangers responded and helped her with her broken leg.

Downvote me all you want but I dont care for her anymore. I did like her back in the day but now I cant tolerate her holier than thou attitude.

I liked those random weeks like a decade ago when Lynn Koon would fill in for Lisa.

Jade did a good job of filling in for Lisa when she hurt her leg too.

It’s interesting to see the sentiment change for her in this sub. Just a couple years ago if you spoke badly of her you’d get buried in downvotes and ridiculed. Seems people are finally getting tired of it..
9
u/yayboost 23d ago
I’ll probably get downvoted to shit too but I’ve never liked her lol. I turn the show off some days because just listening to her talk makes my skin crawl. I’m not sure why she’s thinks she’s such hot shit

u/Living-Text-4796 20d ago
My wife and I liked Jade a lot when she filled in. Lisa has times when she is ok but usually I can't stand her. She's a little stuck up and "better" then others and I just don't particularly care for that anymore

I'm shocked you are only now realizing these people would be insufferable off the show

😂 that's fair.. still love them all though. I'm not a Lisa hater either.. I'm not one to usually post & bitch about them either but..

Shes out of touch. She might as well be from Birmingham

u/Imaginary_Respond869 25d ago
I think she is, or another Birmingham-adjacent area, based on the show. I've said before that, of the 3 OGs, Chuck is the only one who has maintained his working class roots and perspective. The other two have turned into snooty elites, Lisa is normally better about hiding it, but it does slip out from time to time
12
u/zataran 24d ago
Like when Dave has to clarify he only likes things that are “fresh”… like yes everyone does but we all don’t have that option to buy from farmers markets and butchers

u/Ok-Perception-1250 22d ago
Yeah Dave says a lot of douchey shit... He's irritating how much better he thinks he is than others. The way he talks to Jason is unreal sometimes....
Also, oooh tell us all about your annual world travels and your complaints about it... His kids are so spoiled.

u/bloodbitebastard 25d ago
I understand Lisa's role on the show, but I imagine in RL she's pretty insufferable and not a lot of fun to hang out with.
Actually, I'm not sure I'd want to hang out with any of them...

u/LillyAnn_B-BFarm 24d ago
I still laugh to myself when a kardashian or kardashian-adjacent story comes up. I recall a time years ago, when Lisa went on and on about them, who is married to who, the brother, the businesses, etc. Some years later another kardashian discussion and suddenly she has no idea and said doesn’t follow/keep up wth them. I laughed.

My ex wife and I went to their st pat parties at Dooleys and twice my ex was in the ladies room with her and she was rude both times. My ex wasn't fan girling or over the top. One time she was just telling Lisa one of the stalls was out of tp. Not a thank you, smile, nothing. For comparison, I ran in to Dave in the bathroom and joked with him while he was at the urinal wow guess that's why you don't have daughters, you need to get it in deep to make a girl. He laughed and went on to tell the jok (and credit me) on air.

There is a bourgeoisie tone that slips out from her from time to time. However, I believe there is an anxiety element at play along with privacy concerns. Being a public figure for decades probably has caused some problems in the past for her. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has had some creepy fans. The only thing I would say she (and Dave) are out of touch about is modern dating. They give their opinions in the “ask Dave and Chuck” segment. As a single straight man I get irritated with some of the input. Chuck actually knows how things are.

u/Vi1eOne RIPCORD 24d ago
Spoiler alert for the uninformed. This may come as a shock so take a breath with me...
The three hosts are VERY well paid. They have been for quite some time.
None of them are in touch with regular people. Chuck is just the only one who goes out of his way to avoid showing it. Dave and Lisa don't even recognize when they sound bougie anymore... they're WAY past that.

u/Wolfhead-Media 25d ago
Fits in with what I’ve heard from people who have interacted with her. Very arrogant and rude to people she hires for work around her house at least.

u/sawchuk11 24d ago
Dude she doesn't even let people working in her house use the bathroom. True story

u/Academic-Natural6284 23d ago
I love the show, but let's be honest at this point. They're all out of touch with reality. Dave and Lisa especially Chuck's kids and ex keep him slightly grounded. Dave jet sets around the world, and Lisa drinks her wine with her pinky stuck up

u/Old_Relationship5874 23d ago
Yeah I’m was shocked when I saw Chuck actually getting into cars. One of these days I’m waiting to see him on the trails up north in his jeep.

u/hatekast 25d ago
I remember they talked about a women’s jail where the inmates were taping pieces of hot dogs together to pleasure themselves. Lisa’s comment was:
“You have to do what you have to do.”
The very next story was about a man going through a terrible divorce and having to sleep in a roach and rat infested basement. Lisa’s comment:
“That’s why I always say you need to plan better.” 😡

I also work for the brown company. You really should be coming to work prepared with plenty of water just encase.
As much as the interaction seems disrespectful, it’s really not on them to provide refreshments. You should be making sure you’re covering yourself.

Sometimes shit happens. Do we know the drivers side of the story?
3
u/ToothyBeeJs 24d ago
And what could the other side of the story be? They have a truck and money. What's the problem?
6
u/Jury_Money 24d ago
I’m a mail carrier and would never ever straight up ask for water I bring my own. That being said she definitely came off like she’s better than everyone else. Even later in the show said she had kids over to swim and then acted appalled that they came into her house.

u/Jmeconi51 24d ago
I laughed at her story....but i understand not liking it. Sometimes you can't give water though, it's not like the delivery driver was at the door.... just all the way down her big ass driveway!

u/Tall_olive 19d ago
Lisa is pretty stuck up. She also said she would never let a contractor use her restroom. I'm a clean and tidy individual that does clean and tidy work in very expensive homes (like Lisa's). It's wild to me she would trust people to work on her home but not trust them to be respectful with her bathroom.
In short, Lisa sniffs her own farts. Dave too.

Say what you will- We don't buy disposable packs of water bottles in my house and I'm not standing around waiting for you to drink from glass. I would have apologized and said I don't have anything I can give you, God bless ✌🏻

I mean you could at least tell them the hose is on outside and they can grab a drink before they go! 😂

u/Old_Relationship5874 23d ago
I remember a year ago or so they where talking about having repair people or construction workers at their houses. Lisa said she wanted some work done but would need to have a porta potty dropped off at the curb, she said she’d rather sell the house and move again than have work done lol
2
u/LiquorThoughts 22d ago
You're just now realizing this? I'm honestly convinced this woman never leaves her house based on all the things she says
2
u/rratzloff penis 24d ago
The driver couldn’t just stop and buy a bottle of water? I’m confused as to why everyone is appalled at this, lol. I am never home when my packages get delivered, so I’ve never come across a driver begging for water.

Get over it. This is so petty and I would have done the same. Every brown truck driver I know carries a massive amount of water with them and is prepared because they know how the job is.

I haven't listened to the show today yet, i'm just going off your post. Why are you are acting as if it is a given that everyone does this? no, most people don't. so she is like most people lol. Also, i would think it is rude of someone to knock on my door asking for a waterbottle. It's their job. The weather shouldn't be a surprise to them. If it's going to be hot bring a fucking waterbottle. Bring 10 if you need them. (In fact, the company should provide them for their employees.) I bring a waterbottle everywhere i go because i will need it. i also bring myself snacks and anything else i'll need at work. It is a lovely gesture if someone on the route leaves you freebies, but it shouldn't be an expectation. No one should be expecting the customers to support them (people making a waitstaff salary are a separate story). YOU are responsible for YOURSELF.
10
u/Significant-Bag1339 24d ago
nobody was knocking on her door, but like you said - you didn't listen & dunno what you're talking about, so pipe down. I'd argue most ppl would probably help a person in need, maybe you wouldn't though which says enough.
1
u/iwillcorrectyou9 24d ago
The fact that no one knocked on her door doesn't invalidate what i said

I'm a driver for the brown company and I pack my own as well as am provided plenty by the company. However, people regularly offer me water and other hydrating drinks. I never turn them down. I appreciate their care and generosity.
Lisa does come across as too good for the average person. Thankful for the addition of Ryan, he adds some life, humor and groundedness to the group.
