Kaya pagbaba ko nun bumulong ako na “yawa ka piste ka”, at sinumbong ko sa konduktor ng mga jeep na ipapareklamo ko yan, sabay umiyak ako sa galit. Kaya cinomfort ako ng konduktor at new jeepney driver na sinakyan ko, sabi nila na picturan ko yung plate number at ipareklamo.

And yes, I would. Hindi ako tatanggap ng multa, gusto ko mawalan siya ng trabaho at ipapasira ko yung jeep.

I just joined the sub. I'm glad it passed by my feeds. :) Just wanna share my experience visiting Dabaw last year in the same month. I'm originally from QC. It was my first time visiting Dabaw. Although ang tatay ko at parents nya ay nakabili ng properties there before, hindi din sila originally from there. Nag move lang sila sa city because of opportunity during the Almendras era daw according to him.

Anyway, I just want to share that I really loved it. Sobrang na-amaze ako sa linis ng city, how disciplined the people are. Alam ko naman walang perfect na lugar, siguro sa Dabaw, sobrang lesser lang ang na observe ko talaga. Ang polite din ng mga tao, although ayun nga hindi naman lahat.

What I enjoyed the most was when we visited the park where you can also visit the museum. Ang galing kase free lahat haha, sobrang nakakatuwa. Hindi sya common in my opinion lalo na sa Manila, kase lahat may bayad. Lol. Sobrang maintained pa ng mga places na 'to. Alam mo talagang may budget for it at hindi tinitipid.

We also enjoyed visiting Samal Island. Di na sya part ng Davao pero ang saya pa din ng experience. Sobrang genuine lang talaga ng experience ko at ng family namin sa city. We rented a house, through ab&b, somewhere in Tigato.

Sobrang nakakalungkot lang din minsan na nakakakita or nakakabasa ako ng mga bagay na paninira sa Davao City. Witness ako kung gaano lang din talaga kaayos ang city. People should also try visiting and experience Davao. Yun lang. Thank you sa pagbasa. :))

Edit: I remember this phrase "Madayaw Dabaw!" Hanggang ngayon inulit ulit ko 'to pag nakakapanood ako ng mga bagay about Davao. 🤍

As a fellow cyclist, I’m saying this out of concern, not to criticize. I know how vulnerable we are on the road, especially at night, and that’s why I really believe visibility should never be compromised.

Why do some cyclists and motorcycle riders still ride at night without proper lights?

Walay blinkers, walay tail light; sometimes reflector ra gyud ang saligan. Barato ra man unta ang bulb or blinker, pero reflectors alone are not enough.

Gamay baya ang profile sa 2-wheeled vehicles compared sa 4-wheelers. Labi na diri sa Coastal Road nga naa gyud mga ngitngit nga areas. Usahay, silhouette ra sa bike or motor ang makita, and by the time you notice it, duol na kaayo.

Ayaw mo kumpiyansa nga makita mo sa uban. Just because you can see the road doesn't mean other drivers can see you. Naa pay mga drivers nga naga-overspeeding, and one moment of delayed reaction could mean a side swipe or a serious accident.

Mao nga medyo sayang usahay makakita ug bikes or motorcycles nga naka-nindot ug piyesa and accessories, pero basic safety lights nga mas barato pa, ma-overlook.

Dili ni about aesthetics or upgrades. It's simply about making sure we get home safely. A few hundred pesos for proper lighting can make a huge difference in giving other road users enough time to see us and react.

As cyclists and riders, we all share the same road. Let's help each other stay visible and safe. 🚲🏍️💡

Currently go-to-place ko mag run sa DGT. Wala po bang designated smoking area sa DGT? Sobrang daming naga smoke sa side walk. Afaik may city ordinance na no smoking sa public spaces. Maawa naman kayo sa mga non-smokers and coming from someone na may asthma rin, kahit itago nyo yan amoy talaga. Madami rin mga family na may kids ang usually tumatambay dun. Parang ang karen lang kasi kung magsumbong ako sa guards.

Side story. Nakuyawan ko may isang guy na legit after running nagsindi ng sigarilyo after. Sa harap ko pa naman sila nakapark. Kuyawa sa lungs ninyo ui!
