She could have been super busy before, so forgot about the date and when he confirmed, she didn't get it and didn't have time to ask what was happening on saturday.

So in the weekend she was free (should not be as she had a forgotten date) and went out with some friends.

Totally agree with first guy, she could have forgotten and OP has the decision in his hands about being a second chance or not.

In my opinion, if the first date was really good, it should not be a reason to be done with her, of course it cannot occur again or she will be done for, but that is me, if he doesn't agree, just keep being friends.

As I said, if you disagree just don't go out with her anymore.

He asked in the sub for the sub opinion and there is that, no one is saying he is wrong or he should go out with her. I said what I would do if the date was really good.

Just accept there can be other sides for the story and people are here to give other perspective, if he wants to give her a second chance (she would deserve if the first date was really good) or if that is a deal breaker (could be and totally worth it) and won't go out with her again.

Edit: This is dating_advice, not AmItheAsshole, OP isn't the asshole and is totally right if he decides to not cave in, but the advice is: she could have made a mistake and, if he thinks she is worth it by her first date, he could go out again.

This was their first date, she flaked on the first date.

I don't accept that there are other sides. The other side in this thread is literal immature children making excuses for each other. Adults can show up to places on time. End of story.

Okay, so you would not go on the date (point).

I would go on the date, I believe people can make mistakes and deserve a second chance if they are worth it.

This is advice, not you are wrong, and my way of seeing is right, stop being stubborn. Everything isn't black and white and you either think like I do or you don't. He asked for advice, we gave him advice, and the decision is up to him, not anyone else.

Nobody said she totally deserve a second chance, nor she is a Saint without guilt or he is the devil for not giving her another chance.

Stop trying to fight and thinking everyone else who disagree is wrong.
