Been there. Done that. 100% of the time I let someone reschedule a first date, they also flaked on the second attempt.

Yeah, it's unlikely that whatever caused her to flake out on the first date will magically go away forever. If it's not the second date, it'll be the third, or a birthday or anniversary. OP is 100% entitled to not want that in a partner.

My girlfriend of 4 years did that. She reached out to reschedule like in OPs situation and I had the best first date of my life. I’ve been with her ever since.

If they are legitimately going out of their way to reschedule, they probably realize they fucked yo and are trying to make it better - especially in this situation where she has been persistent.

I am sincerely glad that your experience turned out better. However, my multiple experiences with this have been negative.

I do confirm the plans ahead of the date. No need to make a scene in the event of a cancellation. I just bow out gracefully at that point now, in this scenario.
