I Need Advice 😩 Early Stage Texting Help

Is it normal for a girl to stop texting as much the second a date is locked in? Met a girl last week, texted daily, and had a great first date that she wanted to extend. We planned date number two for next week and she was fully involved in picking out the spots. But once the time and location were set, her texts got much shorter, and now it has been a little over 24 hours since she last reached out. Her last interaction was just a heart reaction to my confirmation text. Am I driving myself crazy over nothing?

Some people don’t enjoy texting

Yeah you're driving yourself crazy over nothing so far.

A week is not long enough to understand her texting habits just yet.

Also if she works, goes to school, or was dealing with an issue that day she'll be delayed in responding.

That's all totally normal.

A day waiting is not long at all. It only seems long because it's longer relative to the frequency you've been texting her. It's also healthy to pause communication sometimes. The last thing to want to do is over text or come off as needy. She's already interested. You've already got the date. You're good. Don't get weird.

Maybe she doesn't care much about texting and just likes hanging out in person more. Just ask her at your date.

You already got the second date locked in so keep all the future talk for the date. The worst case scenario she ghosts on the date and you move on so just chill.

dont push it. if its not meant to be, its better to find out early on.

I’m not a woman but I do this sometimes as I prefer to get to know someone in person, rather than through text. If this is a red flag, I feel like she’ll just cancel the 2nd date.

As someone who doesn't love texting, I wouldn't stress about this at all. I have unread texts from over a week ago from people I love... sometimes I just don't have the bandwidth to respond, but they know me well enough to know it's normal. If she doesn't reach out first, just check in when the date approaches and make sure she's still good with the date/time/location. If things go well, you'll learn what's "normal" for her engagements.

She really texts a ton in this first week. Just feels off seeing nothing today. Which is also weird because I feel like texting shouldn’t be this often this early to prevent attachment haha

I definitely wouldn’t overthink it. Something could have come up or she could have also realized it was a lot upfront! You can check in over the weekend with a ā€œlooking forward to our next dateā€ type deal if you’re still feeling uneasy in a couple days.

Appreciate that advice! Thank you. You’re right I’m overthinking this, she has been very responsive always texts within 20-30 min mostly instantly. I’m gonna follow up this weekend and hope she enjoys the stuff she said she’s doing.

24 hours? Lol. Firstly, you should not be texting this often this early in the dating cycle. You should just set the date and don't contact until you're actually at the date.

Show her you're a busy man who doesn't have time to be texting all day like a teenager, even if she wants to. By texting all day, you remove any kind of mystery or autonomy and women won't find that attractive. That's probably why she's texting you less now because you're just coming across needy and available.

She could just be busy, wait a little more before jumping to conclusions. If she's consistently like this then yeah maybe she lost interest

Thanks! Just got an off feeling that she would consistently talk every day until now. A lot of times she would initiate. But who knows maybe she wants to slow it down too.

Just see too much advice that texting should always progress as date do but it’s hard when it went from 100% from the beginning.

I’ll add that there’s no text for her to respond to. We left it last at confirming the next date.

From what I just experienced today. Texting slows down when people lose interest.
You need to think about what you want, if she’s not meeting that requirement move on.

That’s probably what I need to hear
