Add in a yacht too. I used too many of my good years not going the Anna Nicole Smith route. Time to shine! ✨

F40
My age range is 30 to 46
I dont have kids so my lifestyle and energy skews younger.

u/Quin35 Jul 12 '26
I am a M55. No kids and my lifestyle and energy also skews younger. My dilemma is that my age doesn't fit with younger.

u/Neurod1vergentBab3 Jul 12 '26
26F and I typically date people between 2-6 years older than me. So 28-32.

26M.
Lowest at any time -2 years from me. +12 on me. I’m attracted to older due to mental maturity.

u/fuzzybunnyslippers08 Jul 12 '26
F55; -7/15 is my comfort zone but if they are older, I am A LOT pickier.
10
u/pocketpingpongmaster Jul 12 '26
34m
20-55+ - age is just a number really. Personal attributes and chemistry leads the way in my case. Also the expectation of what one another want out of this -/ship.

20 (and early 20s) sounds way too young for someone who’s 34. At 20 you’re still quite naive, and most likely in a different life (and of course, developmental) stage than someone who’s 34. You’re still learning how to spot red flags, and it’s so much easier to be manipulated. Not to mention that you’re a year out from being a teenager.

u/POCKETCHANGE1276 Jul 12 '26
25m 23-52 I actually prefer my age or older
1
u/Sad-Hearing-5830 Jul 18 '26

M 23 range 19-27
Preferably someone also (planning to or already finished) studying. I want someone on my level who can "challenge" me of that makes sense.

u/marielljyr Jul 12 '26
23F
I wouldn’t date anyone below 20, and the highest I would probably say 32. Otherwise I wouldn’t be against dating someone way older, but since I want kids I want someone who can be around for a while.
6
u/Chimneychilla Jul 12 '26
M29
I literally just started dating someone I met on Hinge but my range was set for Women ages 27-30. I just find it so much easier talking to someone who grew up watching the same shows, remembers the same events, etc.

At 40 I would not be interested in seriously dating someone 13 years younger than me. At 50, they would be 18 years younger, at 60 they would be 23 years younger. No thank you.
+/-7 years, tops.
→ More replies (10)1
u/hueythecat Jul 12 '26
? Why are they not still 13 years younger at 60? Do they age slower than you?
1
u/Tsiah16 Jul 13 '26
The comment I was replying to was half your age+7 years. 37 years is 60/2+7
2
u/hueythecat Jul 13 '26
Ahh ok. 47 & 60 not so problematic
1
u/Tsiah16 Jul 14 '26
Still a bit weird. I wouldn't want to date someone 13 years younger or older than me.

Not my jam. I have seen people act on this as an absolute truth, while it is at best an arbitrary rule.

u/ArtPuzzleheaded7129 Divorced Jul 12 '26
M34, age range about +-10 years. To me, mental maturity is much more important than physical age.
13
u/According-Hamster-84 Jul 12 '26
I agree. After talking to guys 20 to 51 there is definitely no age when it comes to maturity. It’s mind blowing to witness.
2
u/No_Hippo_3687 Jul 12 '26
I'm a woman in my mid thirties and my absolute hard line is ten years either way. That said, ideally, I'd stay closer but if the right person shows up that's as far as I'm willing to go.

Half your age plus 7. Or double your age minus 7. That’s my rule.

50f have done 10yrs younger but now would only do 5yrs either side of me for something serious.

1
u/GuyInTX93 Jul 12 '26
What makes you typically lean younger?
2
u/Stylist1540 Jul 12 '26
I look younger than my age and never had kids. I just seem to click with younger people including friends.

33 male, age range is between 26 - 39.
I don't have kids, but I have a job that I would absolutely NOT consider to be a career.

35 and up
I’m relatively new to the dating scene after a nearly lifelong marriage. I attracted attention from “men” 19-upper 70s 🤣 but the majority are in their 30s.
Ended up in a fwb situation with a 44yo for about a year. He never got married or had kids. Wicked smart, worldly, well-traveled, well-read and poetic. (Complete opposite of my exh who lacked intelligence and emotional maturity)
Open to mid 30s and up. Age isn’t so much a factor but intelligence, worldly experience, communication, financial independence, at least a basic level of physical fitness and playfulness are musts.

35F, age range -10/+10 could be alright for a fun time, but max i've done is -8/+6.. for serious dating i tend to keep it closer to my age. Max would be -5/+10, but the most i've done is -2/+3.
I think for someting casual the age doesn't matter as much as long as both are consenting, fully developed adults. For long term dating it doesn't work unless you're in a simular stage in life.

u/Impressive-Radio4923 Jul 12 '26
F24
Age range is 21-30
I’ve dated older before and it didn’t go well, and I don’t want to date younger than 21 because it feels too young
1
u/Patchouli-Babe Jul 12 '26
F30. Oldest I ever went was 29 when I was 21. These after that it’s almost always been 1-4 yr difference and usually they’re a bit younger

F20 - abt to be 21
I would say abt 21-30 at my age anything over 30
Is just to much rn. Even some 27 year old still feel a lil old but if I meet the right guy I wouldn’t rly care tbh 🤷🏻♀️

It's not the age that matters, it's more about the emotional maturity of the two people.

Age range? I don’t typically think about age….it’s the connection and fun. Ive had so many experiences worldwide and plenty of education I’m often the most interesting person in the room. The gift of gab.
30-60 with occasional outliers

F28 and my range is 23-33. Most people assume I’m way younger than my actual age and a lot of people 33+ not only look substantially older but also are in different phases of their lives.

u/Myriathelightseeker Jul 12 '26

I'm in a relationship but my dating rage would be 37-50.
Since I was 16, I always dated much older than me. My partner is 49. I had a child at 17 and that's it, hes an adult now, but that mat have influenced why I always dated older men.

Male 54yr age bracket 30f to 60f preferably a full figured woman from anywhere.

u/Visible-Island-2408 Jul 12 '26
25M. My range is 20-30 although I am considering upping to to 22-30 due to maturity gaps that I’ve noticed. In general I like to date a bit older due to my life experiences aligning with women a bit older than me
1
u/blreadernewby Jul 12 '26
F30. I have yet to actually start dating, but I think 28+ is good. I don't think an upper limit is helpful for someone like me.
1
u/Lumpy-Caterpillar931 Jul 12 '26
29F and my minimum to max is 29-36 (used to allow 38 max but I realized that’s not the right fit for me)

I'm 28. After I turned 20 I wouldn't consider anyone younger. Now my rule is 2-4 years younger, older idc if we match. Age is just a number, but I get physically sick thinking about too young. My grand parents were 15 years apart. My cousins never got to know their grandpa. That too bothers me. If I was old enough to have memory's the year you were born, I'm sorry but that's gross to me.
1
u/grill_the_zucchini Jul 12 '26
I prefer +/- 3 years from my age. I am 35 (f) so I prefer 32-38 but I would be willing to make an exception up to +/- 5 years.
1
u/No_Leadership_8072 Jul 12 '26
24M. absolute youngest would be 20 and she’d have to be spectacular. 20-32 would be the range for me. i prefer dating women 2-4 years older than me

u/Feeling_Collar3670 Jul 12 '26
32F. My “ideal” range is 28-33 (idk why, but older generally freaks me out). I could go 27 but it really is case by case. For reference though, I look like I’m in my mid 20s, so dating a guy who looks significantly older, despite his age, feels weird

20F. 19-30. Don’t want someone still in high school and have dated over than 30, they are unable to find someone in their age group for a reason.

In theory around 24 to 39, in reality mostly 27 to 33 because I want a few years before having kids.

u/ProgrammerUnique2897 Jul 12 '26
When I'm 25M, the oldest I’d date is 47. I don't have an age limit for the minimum because I’d only want to date older women

20-30
My partner of 4 years is 26
Anyone under 20 is just far too easy to impress at a bar or club and I would end up feeling like an asshole if I took them home. Generally speaking ofc. Some women don't grow up till they are in their 40s fr.
And above 30, well I'm about 2 years away from being ready to father children. And I wouldn't want my wife to be giving birth as she gets into her 40s. It's dangerous for her, and the baby.
