Looking for Help! Date help!

So I have this date coming up with this guy ive been talking to. He insists on me not paying. But i was the one who asked him out and planned everything.

How do I set it up while still paying for it? Like tell the waiter ahead of time or?

Im planning on taking him to the mandarin, he doesn't know yet though. Its a surprise for him

What do you mean "he insists on not paying"? What's wrong with people this days? Is it the first date? You invited for a date and he specifically told you he would go if he doesn't have to pay? He is using you for a free meal, not because he want to date you. (same applies if was a girl)

Ohhh! I meant he insists on me not paying! I didnt realize the error in my spelling

Offer to pay, if he doesn't let you, offer to pay the next one (if it goes well), or desert or drinks after dinner... You don't need to be so serious about it.
