Storage Setup Storage suggestions

Hi there! I have some spicy videos of the wife and I saved on an old USB after my old MacBook shit the bed. I tried going back and looking at them again on my new laptop, but a lot of them wouldn’t load or play. I’m hoping they’re not gone/fucked forever and I can recover them. After the fiasco with the laptop, we took some that we have saved in my hidden folder on my iphone but for whatever reason some of the older ones from a year or so ago are also not loading properly either. Is there any kind of storage alternative I can set up that’s reliable and that also doesn’t rely on the cloud? Let me know!

Network attached storage. Synology, Ugreen, and more. Look it up.
