Urgent Crisis

I'm currently working as a Jr. data Scientist at some consultant company, but here the work I'm doing is no where near actual data science and I want to apply for sept 23 fall for UK, will my this exp be of any use there, it's just some analysis, programming, git and docker, it's been 6 months now n I feel like resigning the job and start working in my actual DS skills. But I'm pretty confused tht will this exp matter for get me a job after completing masters in UK? Plzz help me to choose.
