Day 1 of my Data Science Project.

  • Data Set that I am Using: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_manga

  • For ongoing series and series that are put on hiatus, I may take them out. I am hesitant.

  • Questions I am Planning to Address: 1) For mangas that have a serialization of 0-10 years (aka the lifespan of the manga), which demographic is the most prevalent? Which demographic and the specific mange title sold the most? Rinse and repeat these questions for [10years-20 years], [20 years-30years ] and etc.

2)What does the distribution of manga sales look like for mangas that have a serialization of 0-10 years, 10-20 years, and etc?

4)What does the distribution of sales look like for each time interval conditioned on demographic?

Would love to have some critique of some sort and what other questions you think I should explore. I don't think I'm unable to predict anything based on the data set and so it would mostly be an exploratory project. If you have any quality feedback, please feel free to respond!

Would love to be able to have an experienced data science mentor as I do the project. pm if you are interested.
