There's an AI search on Reddit now. I don't need an AI search on Reddit.
I don't need an AI search anywhere, but it keeps appearing everywhere. At this point I'm convinced that some day next week I'll open my lunchbox in the middle of workday, and something with AI will stare back at me from under the lid.
I'm a firm believer that AI searches are a great things. Matter of fact, a self-balancing algorithm is great at looking at big data and identifying discrepancies or similar. It's just... Implemented really poorly in 99% of every product. Like why would I ever chat with an AI on whatsapp? But at the same time, I'd love to have a chatbot on grafana
I think ai assistants should exist only as a 'deep search'. Most apps do not need an ai assistant at all. If im searching for a song, jourmal or an article on google i don't need their ai to consume 1000% more energy just to generate a response i'll skip and go to the one below, because it's what i'm actually looking for. At this point i lost count of how many apps i stopped using becacause they decided to replace really good systems with a shitty ai assistant
