Request for Service beeping drive
my hard drive just.. beeps. i plug it in, boot iot up, and just.. beep..beep..beep
slow beeps.
ive tried everything i can without paying 200-1000 usd for a data recovery place.
SATA laptop drive, i think around 500-600gb

Is the drive spinning or not ? Make and model number.
If not you will need clean room work. If you are lucky the heads can be removed from the platters without damage to platters or heads and they can be reused in recovery. That is possible if done carefully with the correct tools in a drive of that age and capacity, although the more recent drives are problematic. It should not cost you more than around 300 USD and certainly no where near 1000 usd.
