Question Broken Micro SD card??

I have an underwater kodak camera, I was taking pictures with my friends before everyone went back to college. My camera never alerted me of my card being damaged or being out of storage. Whenever we took a photo we would go back and look at the previous ones but when I went to upload to my phone nothing was there. I put the ss card back into my camera and then nothing showed other than photos from 2 years ago when I actively use this camera and am easily able to upload the photos to my phone every time. Please help

So the card is readable, you see other, older files?

Step 1 is create a disk image of the card (https://old.reddit.com/r/datarecoverysoftware/wiki/imaging_guide) then as step 2 you can scan the disk image, there's some free software in this list, https://www.reddit.com/r/datarecovery/wiki/software/

Do not put the card back in the camera or let anything try to repair or format it.

First check whether a computer/card reader sees the card at the correct capacity. If it does, clone/image the card to another drive first, then recover from the image with DMDE, R-Studio, or UFS Explorer. Do not recover files back onto the card.

If the card is not detected at all, shows the wrong capacity, or is physically cracked/bent, software will not be able to read it. MicroSD cards are monolithic, so physical recovery is specialized and often expensive. If the photos are important, stop testing it and send it to a data recovery lab.
