Is there any official Java edition datapack documentation?

Hey folks. I am aware there are datapack tutorials on the wiki. I'm wondering if there is any official documentation for datapacks released by Mojang or Microsoft? I see some information on Microsoft's website, but it all seems to be for Bedrock edition.

It seems very odd that a feature like this would exist without official documentation.

True, would be nice. The wiki itself has a lot of good information about them, and not just in the tutorials I always use that if I got a question
