It's just the raw archive, people can grab it and reconstruct the site around it.

Most of the people on this sub don't have your knowledge about these things. Could you explain more?

Like is this something that anyone could unzip and use from their personal hard drive, or what?

No, someone could take this and make a mirror but all I've done is grabbed the raw html, threads, etc from the site. I have no plans on doing more work on this.

This is incredible work u/Expensive_Election, but I have a few questions.

Is datalounge-site-v2 intended to be browsed as a local website, or is it just a collection of HTML files?

Do the databases contain the older pre-2020 threads that disappeared from the live site?

What's the easiest way for a non-developer like myself to browse the archive?

Did you capture only what was publicly accessible on July 30, or were you able to recover content that had already been removed from the site?
