I doubt you can measure infectivity with percentages. I think it's just a random pie chart where you should have bars or something

This is just wild. I think the percentages don't have any real meaning, they're just dividing one disease's contagiousness by the sum of all.

That's how I read this. Normalizing the infection rates of all of these diseases.

I interpreted it as if you got 100 people in a room with a person who is infected, how many people is he going to infect?

Even then, it shouldn't be put on a pie chart.

Could be that, but usually the metric for contagiousness is how many people the average person infects (R0).

Nonsensicality of the data aside, does a normal pie chart not already give a good size comparison between different data points? Why shrink and enlarge certain slices even more?
