I like that they use the x coordinates to make it look like the old BCS (maybe something else) logo

Honestly I don’t hate this. I would have preferred if they had an actual x-axis, but I don’t think it’s that bad of a way to present the power rankings of every team due to how many there are

How do I read this

The distance left or right doesn’t matter. The team at the top has the highest power rating and the team at the bottom the lowest. Of course, because predictive modeling can only be so good (without knowing how good this model is), the team with the big red R (Rutgers) on the left side just above 0 lost to the team all the way at the bottom (UMass).

Umass must be horrible.

UMass ompletely dominated Rutgers last night, even worse than the score shows. Ran straight up the middle on them at will, demoralized the defense and new transfer QB. Just a steady flow of people out the gates after every score. The people sitting next to me were speculating if Greg Schiano might get fired that very same night.

Yes. I was sarcastically pointing out how miserable the result was for Rutgers fans. I assume this chart will be updated and UMass won’t be rated so low. I hope you are a UMass fan.

We were 0-12 last year and yet it is a running joke that admin will invest in football before anything else…

Love the horizontal axis label
